Anyone with a platform and a voice can spout hypocrisy. It is truly a sad time for Mr. Vitale. If you are going to present facts be unbiased against all universities.

It has been obvious that DV has his favorite coaches that he will stay silent about. If you want to keep my respect as a man, don’t play that game Vitale is playing. Be upfront with everyone not just a few you have an axe to grind.

As much as I would like to, I cannot trust anything DV says. He is a liar and he needs to retract his statements.

Vitale is one of the biggest hypocrites in NCAA basketball... in same trail there is Bill Self talking about Zion wanting a house and $150K and will give it to him and yet not one pep from Vitale about that... but LSU and Arizona he screams about ... gawd I hate the media

Vitale definitely has some bias. His championing of Rick Pitino while actually getting a commitment from a player Sean Miller was caught talking about is incredibly hypocritical. I don't know if he only speaks out on LSU and Arizona because the head coaches were recorded at one point, but it is weird.

Also for the record, Self didn't talk about Zion, his assistant Kurtis Townsend did.

We have a confession that says “I paid money to a player”?

What do you think "a strong arse offer" was, a scholarship?
BTW.....the "offer" to pay a player is just as bad as actually paying a player (in the eyes of the NCAA). There is NO difference. WW also said he had made many similar offers in the past. Conspiracy to commit an offense is also unethical, and wrong.

Either way, Vitale isn't going to say shite about it when his V Foundation board member is the one who signed Zion.

He's fricking scum.

And what exactly do you think WW was talking about? It really does not even matter if he "actually" paid someone. Conspiracy is also a "crime." Or in the eyes of the NCAA, conspiracy to commit a rules infraction is also a rules infraction.

This isn’t true at all

A Mississippi State booster set up the payment plan for Cam Newton in 2010 before he eventually signed with Auburn. MSU received no penalty.

So, you think the NCAA operates just like a court of law? Let me help you out with this one....NOPE. WW says two things on the FBI wiretap which incriminates himself. One....he admits making an offer to pay a player (strong arse offer) which is a conspiracy to commit a "crime/rules infraction." Two....WW said he has made many of these "offers" (with success) in the past. Which means he actually paid players in past years....also a rules infraction. In essence, these FBI wiretaps are a confession. An NCAA "Notice of Infractions" letter is probably already on its way.

No, I don’t think it was a scholarship. But there’s no offer made on this tape.

Allegations - a claim or assertion that someone has done something illegal or wrong, typically one made WITHOUT PROOF.

Dick can suck it

From a booster......not a head coach!

That doesn’t matter. Programs go on probation due to booster activity all the time.

You said offering and actually giving is the same. It’s not. You’re wrong.

I don’t think some of you lemmings know what this even means.

The mob mentality in this board is very amusing though.

Could have been anyone. Someone with the production company, HBO, a leak from the FBI.

Several dozen people had access. Based on his comments, I doubt it was Dawkins or his team.

I don’t think it’s all that relevant to begin with, but that is a stretch of an assumption

The fbi on record says they would not turn evidence over to the NCAA

And Dawkins, much to Will wade’s favor, is on record saying he will not aid the NCAA in anyway.
