Apparently, the rumored rift between Coach O and Canada is true. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in the meeting with Alleva, Orgeron, Canada and Aranda after the Troy loss. I bet there was quite a bit of "frank" discussion.

Good question. I can't believe he'd take such a big pay cut to be the HC at a school like ULL. Maybe there's a deal in the works where LSU makes up the difference.

Good point. You are right about that.
I'll tell you one thing though, if this turns out to be just a bunch of crap, this is the last time I really put any stock in a prediction made by Mike D. I remember he predicted that Brandon Harris would be QB'ing LSU to an SEC championship during his time here. Boy was he off on that one!

I absolutely agree with this. I haven't really studied the old Baylor offense, but I understand it to be power spread, which I think is a good plan of attack in the SEC and the athletes LSU gets.
In addition, he just spent a year with Kiffin, and I like that offense as well to some degree.

I've talked to him on numerous occasions and he was always real friendly, would answer any sports question you asked and a lot of times, give you the unfiltered, uncensored answer. I think he's a good dude. I will say this, he gives the longest fricking answers I've ever seen...lol.

I think the dead ends on the recruiting trail that Canada has been on has been spelling this for weeks now.
