Let the coach have a say in who he would like the AD to be

Exactly, some would say it’s the best job because you can name your boss.

I swear, Landry is living rent free in so many heads on this board it’s unbelievable. Stop whining and whining, it’s absolutely pathetic and weak.

Who cares he probably thinks Michigan is the best job. What matters is the potential coaches and in their minds LSU is one of the elite jobs in the country.

I don’t see what difference it makes who the AD or President is once you have a contract in hand.

The Board has already gone on record that locking in a new coach is a higher priority than a new AD and this interim has full authority on the search and hire.

Therefore your take is unlikely.

Everyone knows this. Why do we have this thread? Another LSU fan butt hurt because every, single person in the media doesn’t celebrate the program no matter what.

Of course Arkansas sources jumped on it!
Their program is an absolute dumpster fire. They can’t even find anyone to take the job, and will probably have to keep Petrino, whether they like it or not. They are happy one of their biggest competitors appears to be in disarray. Of course, we know we are not. If Arkansas is hating on you, you’re headed in the right direction.

Of all the people on Game Day that I value their opinion, he is not one of them.

Yes. It’s a very myopic take. LSU will have a new president and AD in the next 2 weeks.

LSU will have a President then an AD then they will hire a coach. They are just starting the hiring process to find the next coach. Its not like they will find a coach on Monday.

There’s others in the media making hay on the Little Landry blunder.
Chris Doering of SEC network, and others tied to Arkansas and UCLA have jumped on it

Good post. LSU fans who are either from Louisiana or went to LSU, or both, obviously look at what Media are saying who are not form here and say who cares. But the reality is Louisiana is 1 of 50 states and all the coaching candidates we are looking at, according to the hot boards, are not from here and have no direct ties to LSU, if this coaching board from 29 October is still the most up to date one.

LINK

So I think we LSU fans have to be honest enough to recognize how this is being viewed outside of Louisiana.

most coaches don’t think that way, they’re less business oriented and more ego driven, I doubt a lot of big time college coaches think they even have a boss

I bet most coaches want an administration they are aligned with.

Indeed

Agent Armstrong and sexton take note and media guys who have ties to other programs take note and then use it against us to help their team.
Chris Doering sec network - Florida ex receiver- wants Florida to be the top job so he made a case yesterday against LSU being a place to go.

These people put the stink on us so others feel embarrassed to come here….

Little Landry’s just looking out for his people
