Just read that although in previous years moving a game to another site within a week is tough but doable, with Covid protocols, it may be too much to expect that change.

LSU and Mizzou both have bye weeks in the first week of Nov (week before Bama) and the game could be moved there.

Seems like not having another game before going to Gainesville while also losing the bye before Bama would both be major blows.

2020 strikes again!

I think LSU would rather play a game in fanless Missouri than play a game before Bama while Bama has an open week.

Sorry, but Nov. 7th is the date of the 1st Annual CENTX TD.com Golf Board Invitational, so that date is out.

I'd suggest just playing in Shreveport this weekend, or Dallas.

What makes it so tough to reschedule a game normally is the fans. COVID should in all likelihood make it easier to move the game, right?

The decision will be made sometime tomorrow, but it looks like we are headed to Mizzou.

From my sauces.

Seems a move wouldn’t be hard. Players still get tested, team would only need a hotel and if that’s not possible game day flight wouldn’t be horrible that’s a short flight.

Why can't there be any fans at the game if moved to Mizzou?

Mizzou is allowing fans unless something’s changed. You just can't tell the difference.

I agree. I said this in another thread:

Who really gives a shite if there are fans? Move the game to Missouri and sell tickets. I’m sure any LSU fan in that region would love a shot to see them play and it’s not like 25% capacity will have a massive impact. Make them split the gate or something, but get the game played and don’t make it a sterile experience.

I think it's more about having staff available for the game. If there aren't fans it makes it easier to not allocate ticket takers, security, ushers, concessions, etc. However, they still have to scramble to get lighting, sound and all that other shite ready.

No, bad move. This is an easy decision, move it to Columbia. We need to play this game

How would the COVID protocols make moving the game more difficult? It seems the opposite. There are very few fans allowed in any game, so less gameday logistics that have to be arranged. Players are going through the same protocols whether they travel or stay at home. Trying to figure out where the COVID protocols make this more difficult to pull off.

Moving to Nov. 7 could mean playing a home game in front of more fans (if the rumors of larger capacity coming are true). Would be good for BR economy.
