I wouldn’t be surprised at all if LSU is lying. I pretty much assume the worst case scenario if it involves the LSU administration at this point. They will start to lose money, and support quickly if they keep this up.

LSU knows they fricked by not only acting to soon but also overreacting and are now trying to make Wade look like the bad guy.

Because meeting with the NCAA is fricking retarded if it’s not per their request.
Wade and his lawyer should have met with Alleva first. Let Joe get a good understanding get them all on the same page and come up with a game plan.
Then meet with Alleva, F. King and the BOS since LSU is ran like that unfortunately.
Finally if the NCAA just had to be involved then you bring them in. You don’t go meet with your officials for the first time with outsiders involved as well.

This is exactly why will wade did not want to meet he does not trust his athletic department too many leaks! Probably thinks the AD and president is trying to sabotage his career, And you really can’t blame him

And ignores the fact that Wade is likely not supposed to talk about certain things specifically involved in the federal case that is currently ongoing. LSU doesn't give a crap and wants to be able to ask whatever they want and then use it against him.

Wade probably feels he owes no explanation to no one on the BOS, especially with the investigation is still going on. Joe should’ve stuck to the original plan and just met with Wade with himself ,king and Wade

LSU Admins are involved in a major disinformation campaign to cover their asses. They knew about the Wade subpoena, and yet play ignorant. Throw bs out to the media to muddy the water...rumour and hearsay. The guys at the Advocate and ESPN BR are being played like fiddles, and Smart and his family are the collateral damage.

This situation is an example of why LSU won't be able to hire big time coaches in any sport anymore as long as this admin is in place. Wade will be run out of town and they'll hire the Trent Johnsons of the world. The women's coach has brought them back to mediocrity and keeps her job. We know who we have in football. Nobody in their right mind with any experience or success will want to coach here under the current leadership.
