Basically the SEC knows the NCAA can't do anything in the courts about all these TRO's but the SEC wants a self governance model. Basically saying yes all of you can go get local judges for TRO's if you want, but we are going through all this to enforce our own rules.

LSU will apologize for the TRO stuff if Ole miss removes Chambliss from the roster and apologizes as well. Seems fair

Neither the SEC nor any other organization has the right to enforces rules in bad faith which is exactly what the SEC has done regarding its action against LSU. If Axon rebuffs the SEC, we will see what sort of stones/idiocy the other conference schools have to vote to get rid of LSU.

They can enforce their own rules. What the can't do is circumvent the law. I hope they're sued into oblivion.

Federal court doesn’t make declaratory judgements so sports conferences can set precedent.

Ok, I think on the surface that is fine.
But why go after LSU who is currently complying with SEC rules?
I know it is beating a dead horse, but if it was really all about self governing, the Chambliss case seemed much more clear cut and he is still playing despite being technically ineligible.
Why did the SEC chose this case to fight for its own authority….other than some in the SEC hierarchy don’t like Lane?

That would be fine if they’d enforce them universally. It seems like goal posts keep moving to only exclude LSUs players. They sat down and said “what do LSUs pro guys have going on that the other guys don’t …. Oh well they put ink on paper …. BINGO !!! ink on paper is how we write the rule “. wtf is that. It’s not about their rules. It’s about Sankeys ego and pride after getting dunked on in Louisiana court. Pretending it’s not deeply personal is just flat out wrong.
And on another note … do you think this escalates any further if lsu had eeked out a win v Clemson and didn’t look like a legit f’ng juggernaut on Saturday. The answer is no. No it’s doesn’t. They see that LSU is about to put the conf on notice and they are shook.

This will clearly indicate the end of the SEC....I thought they were above this...Money controls this...ESPN, etc. will dictate or have something to say in all of this...the SEC does not pay the bills...Reminds me of the NCAA and mismanagement...
