The White T-shirts are about fans standing in for Devin. Fans are D. White 'til 40 returns. Ultimate 12th man. Nothing about school colors.

Literally, he is to young to remember the white out game against Vandy back in the early 90s. UGA tried a blackout and Bama beat them, how did that work out for them. I have never heard a dude that played that sounded so defeated before the game is even being played.

Death Valley in its prime, was a sea of white,gold, and purple. Sometime in the late 2000's it shifted to only purple and gold. Death Valley of old is much better than what we have today. So think of it as a throw back.

I don't think it will be effective unless LSU gets behind it. Almost every thread I see on Facebook has folks saying they like purple and gold and that's what they're wearing. (Not that Facebook is representative, but the LSU related pages seem to be supporting the school colors.)
If it's not effective, it may well look like a divided fan base rather than a united one. More fodder for Danielson if he talks about the movement and the failure of it. Might work if at least the student section when all white.

The message sent with the White Out is telling/showing the college world, especially the recruits, how supportive this fan base can be in good times & bad.

I really think the only way this truly happens is for some company or sponsors to pony up to have white t shirts for all tiger fans to put in over their clothes. Otherwise, my guess is about 35% of the fans will come in Purple or Gold.
