Dealing with a family emergency this weekend

I really hated having to go MIA on Opening Night, but that's the thing with emergencies, they happen without warning. Right now, all I know is that my grandfather is in the hospital after showing signs of a stroke yesterday. I don't have the full story, but should find out more today.
As for BPB, I fully intend to return for this season, but will almost certainly need a sub for today. Sunday is still up in the air, it really depends on what my family and I find out today. Glad we were able to get the win without me.

Prayers sent cheer. Some things (not many) are more important than LSU baseball.

You don’t owe anyone an explanation for missing a baseball game. There’s plenty games this season. Take care of your family baw.

Dude you are a workhorse and a wonder for baseball. You're obviously appreciated and missed when absent, but you don't owe us anything. Deal with your family this weekend and whenever past that. The rant can handle your absence for a few games. Okay maybe the last line maybe isn't true, the rant struggles to handle much of anything but still, the world will keep spinning. Good luck and best wishes.

Is your grandfather in Lafayette? My BIL just dealt with an elderly man who suffered a stroke last night.
Anyways, prayers for your family.

I know how you feel...we lost my father inlaw to lung failure from Covid complications Thursday morning. He was a Virginian, but loved Louisiana's food, especially boudin.
