As is LSU

The NCAA doesn’t have Wade on wiretap and never will. The testimony they do have is a guy who said he heard a guy. They only other thing they have is news reports of Wade saying what was reported on the wiretap, but nothing to substantiate those reports. Nothing came out in Dawkins’ testimony about LSU (assuming it’s finished).

If they go after LSU, they’ll have to go after all those other programs mentioned in reports and testimony (including Bama and Clemson football). That’s not happening IMO.

The tape not being admitted into trial does not mean the NCAA won’t look at it. Dawkins was not working with Wade to land Smart. It is not easy pertainint to the trial which is why it hasn’t been admitted

So you think the fbi will release a federal wire tapped conversation to the ncaa, a federal wire tap that they couldnt use in court?

They have to get their hands on it to "look" at it. Or, more appropriately, listen to it.

They have so far cooperated fully with the NCAA. Maybe they don’t give it up, but the past says they will.

They're going to share wiretaps with an outside, private entity? What past examples of this do you have?

What have they given up to the ncaa so far? You do realize the whole process of getting a wiretap and what it takes, right?

Don't you know that the FBI ALWAYS releases sensitive evidence relating to an ongoing, sweeping investigation to private third parties so that said third party can attempt to enforce its own internal rules which it has repeatedly failed to enforce?

The NCAA needs reasonable doubt

I think the phrase you are looking for is "reasonable cause". Reasonable doubt is the standard a jury must get beyond to convict someone of a crime.

The NCAA only needs reasonable cause to open a preliminary investigation.

On one call between Dawkins and Richardson, the two discussed Ayton and the possibility of Dawkins’ management company eventually signing Ayton. That’s when Miller came up.

“You know what he bought per month,” Richardson said on the call concerning what Richardson believed was Miller’s agreement with Ayton.

“What he do?” Dawkins asked.

“I told you, 10,” Richardson said. Later, Dawkins said, “Hey, he’s putting up some real money for them [racial slur].”

Also on the calls, the two discussed that Richardson did not need to use any of the $20,000 that Dawkins’ company was going to give him to pay Wildcat player Rawle Alkins because Miller was allegedly handling him.

“You already know, Sean’s taking care of Rawle and them,” Dawkins said. “So it ain’t no expense to Rawle. So that’s easy.”

There were also discussions of the mother of Jahvon Quinerly requesting $20,000-$25,000 from Arizona. Quinerly originally committed to the Wildcats, but backed out after Dawkins and Code, among others, were arrested in September 2017.

Quinerly played last year at Villanova, but is set to transfer. Miller has denied violating any NCAA rules while at Arizona. The trial of Dawkins and co-defendant Merl Code is ongoing in Lower Manhattan. Dawkins took the the stand Monday morning and began his testimony.

I would have to think there would be some privacy issues if they were to do so.

After all, there are people on those wiretaps who aren’t and were never under investigation. I’m no lawyer, but them turning over such evidence seems pretty unlikely.

Honestly, I don’t have an opinion because none of us have enough information to form an opinion. I just though it was funny how typing three words can work so many adults into a frenzy
