Exactly. We have no clue what's happening behind closed doors.Clowns calling kids idiots for transferring is crazy.Yall don't know the facts.

I wouldn't be shocked if every player not named Pickens and Green entered the portal to get that LSU NIL money. Why would you not?

I love this era where we pay players like professional athletes but they dont have contracts and can just demand more money and leave whenever they want.

I think the point being made is that there has to be a better system in place that what we currently have, and I don't believe that includes being "stuck" as you put it with players that don't pan out.

I mean somebody has to be willing to pay them the money for it to work.

I’m guessing this paired with NIL money has to be the reasoning. Wonder who we get out of the portal. Need 2 safeties minimum now.

And ill bet you'll be celebrating the portal class LSU brings in.
Damn right I will…it goes both ways. Pros and cons for sure. But players can’t even bounce around like this in the NFL. I’m all for players getting paid, but there needs to be some sort of “honorability” when it comes to the deals being made.

There is. He likely signed a deal for 1 year (maybe less).

Winner.
See ya. Overrated player who thinks he’s better than his actual play.

This is the point I’m trying to make. Players need to be held accountable when it comes to the NIL deals they make and realize that playing college football while getting paid a lot of money is a privilege, not a guarantee.

I understand what you’re getting at but let me ask you one question. What happens when a coach (BK for example) signs a bunch of offensive linemen and guarantees to pay them each a million dollars per year for 3 years. Then they end up sucking, BK gets fired, and a new coach comes in and wants to get rid of those players or cut their salary?

These college kids are stupid.

It's pathetic that majority of these kids it's all about

The IRS is gonna have a field day with all of this.

BK was overpaying to keep guys. All the LSU starters want to be paid the elite rate. LK has a year to year philosophy and especially this year is not paying anyone more than he thinks their worth just to keep them. The agents are telling these guys what they want to hear. Some of these guys will end up with less some will get more.
It seemed like spears struggled in run support. Overall, he is a pretty average safety. He will have to compete for a starting spot if he comes back.

I have no clue how each individual contract is structured. I know at one point, McKernan said his NIL deals with players are usually for 3-4 months. Maybe that’s changed.

And when a kid does care about the school and shows no sign of wanting out(pending)y'all want them replaced anyway for a better player this whole fanbase has been hoping our rbs mainly Durham enter the portal at the prospect of getting lacy. I don't knock us for wanting better players but you can't have it both ways. Cry about loyalty and want guys to be processed. Just got to let the door blow no matter what
