An alternate view from an OOS fan of the Tigahs:

-Adding a 9th conference game to eliminate one of the cupcakes is favorable
-Having an equal number of home/away/neutral site SEC games EVERY year for EVERY SEC team to avoid 5/4 home game unbalance is favorable
-Playing neutral site games in places that allow more OOS fans like me to more easily attend is favorable
-Reducing schedule breaks that Bammer gets by avoiding more regularly-occurring games against UGA, UF, & USC is favorable
-Rotating the neutral site SEC games between the many pro & other venues across the conference footprint is favorable

I am not surprised to hear such a stupid suggestion coming from a Yankee like Mullen.

Every team gets 3 permanent opponents that they choose and you rotate through the other 10 teams every other year (5 teams one year, 5 the next). Sticks with an 8 game conference schedule but you play every team twice in a 4 year college career.

Would this work?

LSU: Ole Miss, Florida, Texas A&M
Texas A&M: LSU, Arkansas, Mizzou
Arkansas: Miss State, Mizzou, Texas A&M
Ole Miss: LSU, Miss State, Auburn
Miss State: Ole Miss, Alabama, Arkansas
Auburn: Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss
Alabama: Auburn, Tennessee, Mississippi State
Florida: LSU, Georgia, Tennessee
Tennessee: Florida, Vanderbilt, Alabama
Kentucky: Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Mizzou
Vanderbilt: South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee
South Carolina: Georgia, Kentucky, Vanderbilt
Georgia: Auburn, Florida, South Carolina
Mizzou: A&M, Arkansas, Kentucky

I will quote Shug Jordan for the umpteenth time. "College Football is meant to be played on campus and on grass."

I guess Georgia vs Florida is the neutral site. How convenient since it basically is one.

I like 9 conference games. Neutral site is stupid. I love the idea of a pod system or just rotating all the conference games.

I’d much rather see the top 2 teams in the conference play in the title game than the current division set up.

Usual self serving UF bullshite. UF/UGA play in Jacksonville every year.
This is actually better for UF as they would pick up an extra home game every other year.

Yes. The more P5 conference games the better. I don't care for the neutral site idea but am in favor of reducing shitty OOC games.

Pass. Eliminate annual cross division games, play every cross divisional team 1x every 4 years, no D-II games, more home and home series with OOC schools. We wait all year for CFB and beating up on Rice is a wasted weekend.

Let’s have a true east and west, first.

West

Mizzou
aTm
Arky
LSU
MSU
Ole Miss
Vandy

East

Florida
Georgia
USC
Tenn
KY
Auburn
Bama

This proper alignment eliminates the “rivalry” games that give us the unfair cross over games. Bama keeps TN, Auburn keeps GA in the division they belong.

Then set up a rotation where every four year player gets to play every team in the league. It’s not that hard but it starts with proper alignment.

Well that would be the real, only fair way to do it.

Therefore, Bama would immediately reject it.

Let's play 13 games, all 13 SEC. The non-conference games are boring.

Dan Mullen is half retard half savant. You respect his game but sometimes you catch him licking frost covered poles.

It’d be funny if the egg bowl was played in Jackson every year though.

What would LSU's neutral site game be? A&M in Houston wouldn't be too bad I guess but they already have the Arkansas game

That West Division is just so lame, though.

I would, however, wish we could do away with one school’s desires dictating alignment/scheduling for basically everyone.
