I am not miserable at all. Just don’t think it was appropriate to name a court after a person that sits there on his high horse and dogs Wade while he was fired for cheating. It is no different that Petino and Valvano getting all of the positive press from that POS Vitale when they knowingly cheated and got busted.

Hell I don’t even understand why there’s such a strong sentiment from a Gunther contingent, no one cared about women’s basketball or anything she did back then but now we’re suddenly passionate about honoring her?

But Dale pretending he doesn’t care yet having people screaming in the streets over how horrible this is says otherwise

Dale is definitely pushing Tim to complain about this since it’d be a terrible look for him to do it

All we need now is collis to call everyone out

believe what you want child.
Class of 1972 here. But I don’t know anything considering I sat my arse in the L club at halftime a basketball games, eating popcorn with several of the other boosters. Believe what you want to believe.

Let’s just say the 280 ZX and 300ZX were very popular. Ask about Don Redden and others having spending spree’s.
Ask about cashing checks from a certain oil field services company. I know factually what was happening. The fact is you didn’t even know that Ron Abernathy was Rudy‘s coach and was bought by Brown to bring Rudy over from Louisville.
Otherwise Rudy doesn’t show up at LSU.

One article on John Williams

It was never reported missing by Abernathy so Brown LIED

Yes, some of the Board members are already trying to rename the court after Sue Gunter and Brown instead of just Brown...one year after already voting to name the court after Brown. This is also being endorsed by the University President. It is an absolute disgrace but typical when it comes to LSU and anything related to men's basketball.
But Sue was better than Dale at ripping cigs

Honestly it shouldn’t be named anger either. Both are a joke for having a court named after them

Couldn’t even get to the sweet 16 with Shaq. Everyone gives Les Miles shite for accomplishing so little with so much talent but Dale Brown might be worse.

He acts like this will literally kill dale. I don’t really see how it “dishonors “ him

Apparently it’s a super pac of women pushing for it…DD Breaux, John bel’s wife, and a lady on the board. The story mostly just highlights the pure dysfunction at how the school is ran

I don't see it as dishonoring him. I don't see why his age matters either. If anything, they are insulting Sue by literally saying he's much more deserving not only as a coach, but as a person. At least that's what I have seen from some. I don't know either enough as people to truly have an opinion.

I was originally against it until I looked up Sue. She is a hall of famer in her right who won way more at LSU. She literally died the year after coaching LSU. Gave it her all I assume.

I no longer care either way.

I must admit, I do hate when Louisiana politics gets involved in these things.

When the board voted to name the court after Brown they voted against naming it after both Gunter and Brown. Then after is already done they approach Brown and ask him to say they should add Gunter and make it sound like it’s his idea. Typical Louisiana bullshite

The problem that I see in all of these threads is most of the comments criticize Brown or the fact that the court is named after him. This should all be about should they add another name to the court.

The Brown criticisms while they may be valid, are pointless. The court is named after him. It's done. The focus now should be on getting the message to the powers that be that no other name is needed bc no other name truly justifies it.

That and despite what you may think of Brown it is extremely classless and a slap in the face for our board to have waited so long to grant him the honor to only 1 year later go back on it and make him share it. This would have been better handled by naming it both at the same time. But that's not what happened. Now they have have to slap the person they honored in the face. And all the fans.

The fans need to get the message to the board that this is absolutely a clown show and they need to vote no.

Was Dale, Brando, Engster and crew campaigning against it behinds the scenes then to kill the idea?

Dale Brown is trash. This dude cheated and single handedly destroyed the program, though it was never elite to begin with. He is insecure and was jealous of Wade. He made no more or less strong a$$ offers than Wade did. Dale Brown cares about Dale Brown far more than he cares about LSU. A court should be named after a great coach. Dale Brown was an okay/good coach. The reality is LSU has never had a coach worthy of naming the court after.

Fans don't care about this because everyone calls it the PMAC anyway.

So, if you knew of the cheating first hand, what did you do about it? Right, nothing. So your guilty as anyone. How’s that fit your narrative?

I understand that Sue Gunter was a very nice person. However, she was a journeyman coach who won virtually nothing at a time when it should not have been difficult to be competitive and a winner. We should not be honoring longevity.
