It's a little early to be hitting the bottle.

Pat White was being recruited as a WR. He actually committed to us as a WR.

Anyway, every school has it's "WTF" misses.

I'm not convinced "Dak Prescott" and "NFL QB" will be used in the same sentence in a couple of years.

You should watch some cowboys games, he shouldve been a tight end.

Your story isn't entirely accurate.

GARY CROWTON didn't think he could play QB at LSU.

Ensminger liked him as a QB, but wasn't making the decisions on who to recruit at QB, so he kept recruiting him as a TE.

Eventually this difference of opinion on Dak's QB ability played a part in Crowton being relieved of his duties.

Dak did get offered as a QB very late but it was too late.

No matter how he turns out in Dallas, Dak was a great college quarterback. And I used to think the way you do (i.e. man if LSU had offered him as a QB, he would have been awesome for us). But now I'm fairly confident we would have ruined him. We have not been able to develop a quarterback on this staff in years and Dak would have been no different. He ended up in the best place for him with Mullen.

Did you see this label online and then immediately come to the Rant? Have you watched any Cowboys games? He is one of the main reasons for their offensive struggles. The dude is a great athlete, but he is not a great QB nor will he pan out as a franchise QB. Plus the year he signed we had a commitment from Zach Mettenberger. I would bet you would have been on here bitching to no end that we turned down Mett for a 3 star dual threat QB coming off of 4 frustrating years of Jordan Jefferson.

I’m imagining your children clawing at you begging for attention while you sit your fat arse at your computer and complain about a recruiting decision made almost a decade ago

Actually Zak was really heavy his junior year (265? If I remember correctly). He even admits he was too heavy to be recruited by the big schools. So I understand the staffs reluctance.

Even you savior a Saban missed on some. Hell, Vince Young wanted to come here but Saban only wanted him as a wide receiver. So I guess he’s a idiot slso

Dak is so great! He had a good rookie season, when he had the most dominant offensive line ever and a top notch WR in the league at that point. He’s dick, and he needs perfect conditions to win games. He will never be a QB to pass for 300 yards take over and win the game. That’s the truth.

He hasn't been very good this year and was only ok last year. No school besides MSU wanted him as a QB as far as I remember.
