Dabo says he is staying in his lane after expressing his embarrassment. Maybe it would have been better had he said I’m staying in my lane before expressing how he feels about it. What’s embarassing is the ncaa not giving a ruling before the young men had a chance to make an informed decision. No court should take away a young man’s chance to have a very successful career because of a late decision by the ncaa and a later decision by the sec. I hope any judge reviewing this embarrasses anyone with either the ncaa or the sec.

His team had one of the most extensive sign stealing schemes (which is legal if you manage to do it live during the game), but 2019 LSU coaches thought they sent reps to the SEC Championship and Peach Bowl to scout/steal LSU's signs. Ryan Day basically accused them of the same thing.

LSU first three drives ended with no points and just one first down. Ed O told Ensminger to change the signs completely and LSU scored TDs on 5 of their next 6 drives and went on to get 620+ total yards on 42 points before kneeling on the ball late in the 4th. You tell me... Dabo trying to act like Mother Teresa.

I’m not gonna beat him up too much. Sounds like what he’s saying is. It’s unfortunate and embarrassing that the NCAA screwed up so bad.

I agree with him, but I think he’s oversimplifying the issues.

Yes, it’s frustrating when the NCAA says “no, no, no,” and a judge says “yes.” But how we got here matters.

The NCAA’s new model is intended to establish a clearer eligibility window: five years, with far fewer exceptions. Within that window, you and your coaches decide how much you play. Sitting out doesn’t automatically buy you another year.

That’s why counting seasons played doesn’t tell the whole story. Playing your fourth season and being in your sixth year of college are two different things.

And, like he said, I don’t blame these players for wanting to come back. Maybe it’s for the experience, maybe it’s for the money, or maybe both. Their motivation isn’t the issue.

The complication is the transition. The NCAA expanded eligibility but excluded players who had already exhausted their eligibility under the old rules—even though some would still fit within the new five-year window. That’s the dispute behind these court challenges.

You can support a firm eligibility limit and still question whether the NCAA handled that transition fairly.

NCAA and SEC should be embarrassed they enacted a post dated blatantly discrimnatory 5 year eligibilty rule. …then play victims when playes have to go to court to clean up their mess.

I hope LSU win. The last time I saw people who didn't play confidently was against USC, and we know how that turned out. We went all the way to Vegas to lose to Stinking Lincoln and his trojans. Embarrassing!!

He took time out of his day to spend time with one of my sister's friends that had a serious health condition. Earned my respect for that.
