The decision makers know the key to winning in college sports is recruiting, that is why EO was hired. So if he does well in recruiting he will be successful and if not he will not be the coach in 3 years.

We can only hope at this point. The spring game was rough to watch from an offensive standpoint.

We saw firsthand last year he did the complete opposite of this.

I'm willing to give him a mulligan on this for last year. He fricked up the Canada hire, creating a toxic work environment and tried to do what he could to salvage the season.

Now, he's got HIS guy, someone he trusts and has a great relationship with, so let's see what happens this year. I really wish he would have just had the stones to hire Ensminger last year after he missed in Kiffin. I honestly believe that Ensminger would have been his second choice, but Orgeron either didn't have the sack to pull the trigger after all of his bluster about "hiring the best coordinators in the country" or he was told by higher ups that he couldn't do it.

I also haven't heard one report that he's "meddled" in the defense, which is his side of the ball, so I think it's possible, that if he trusts his coaches he's willing to be more hands off.

I think, barring a complete disaster of a season (like 6/7 wins) he's going to have 2 more years to get his shite together, so the best we can do is just hope and pray he does.

I don't care what the fankids think of our head coach- because the kids who matter the most are recruits. As long as he's landing top talent, we will be fine- and the fankids will keep getting their behavioral meds refilled.

I agree that's promising. But the dude has no experience on offense and his knowledge of Xs and Os has also been lacking so for him to involve himself on offense is bad.

Some of these idiots would be supporting Orgeron if all he was doing was literally taking his morning shite on the field every day.

why do people show someones post count? better yet the fact you even take notice is fricking sad. who gaf if its 20 posts or 55,000. Can you not tell if someones post has substance enough on your own???? Do you really have to look for validity from his post count to tell you if its meaningful? wow. Oh, dont forget to throw in a misspelled word that he wrote also. that outa prove your point..

What did he do exactly? He tried to get a hold of the offensive pre snap flags which everyone and their mom were saying O needs to get a handle on. Well he did it the only way he knew how and made sense. Slow everything down. It's not like Canada couldn't call plays to make this work, he just wouldn't.

He pitched a grown man baby fit about it. He disrespected coach O at every corner. He was a cancer to this program whether you can see that or not. O realized that when considering a coach he doesn't have to have this big name coach to be successful. He also needs to know that they will always do what's best for the team and not themselves. The only person he knew would do that is Steve E. He knows these players and did a good job the last time.

All coaches say this. It's about the talent not the coaches but when you put good coaches and talent together, in the right environment, it can be special. All it takes to be a great coach is to want what's best for this team and work hard to achieve those goals. Then surround yourself with great assistant coaches. Recruit and promote the team when it's doing great things. Win games and the recruiting will take care of itself mostly.

I want to see what he can do with a team of strength and not one without quality depth. It's almost impossible to win without depth in the SEC. We saw that even when you face a team that has quality depth in any conference you can lose the game. That team was defeated before they played the game and I could feel it. Orgeron still found ways to win big games. Some blame could still be put on O for that loss but we were a weak team at the time. He thought that they would will their way to the win but that didn't happen.

Let the CEO just oversee the program, and let these highly talented coaches coach em up.

This was literally exactly what Ed O said at his first day on the job for both LSU and Ole Miss, and never once has he done this. What the frick makes you think this year will be any different for him?

CEO's handling of the Canada mess last year is proof he won't let his team of highly talented coaches coach 'em up. How does anyone believe things will change?

I do have a degree from LSU, a Masters actually, and I am a newly registered poster.
You certainly don't have a "Masters" in English.

You're entire Pump Diatribe reads like a 7th grader and you most likely have never been in any college classroom.

People with "Masters" degrees should know the difference between TOO and TO. They should also know that you don't put a COMMA (,) before AND.

You're either another LSUAD "Paid Informant" or yet another uneducated Louisiana O Sycophant Buffoon Clown trying to draw attention to themselves.
