He fits the offense like a glove.
He can't hit the seem like brennan and doesn't have the arm but does everything else better.
I don't see how anyone could disagree

But when the rubber hits the road in the fall seniority goes out the window
Seniority doesn’t mean shite at this level.

That is an NFL throw.
So was this
We know Brennan can make NFL throws. Basically everyone agrees he has a really good arm. That's not really up for debate.
I just posted a Max gif showing that he makes good throws too.

OL performance depends a lot who is under center. Max makes the OL look the bests out of all the QBs. Max has better pocket awareness and leverages the OL's blocking the best out of all the QBs. You can tell he the son of a NFL QB.
Dont really agree with this at all. Go back and watch the 1st half with the 1s, Brennan was much more comfortable in the pocket than Max and had much better command as well.
The 2nd half, things changed up drastically when Brennan was seeing a lot of pressure on the 2nd team, and that's where Max can still thrive some where Brennan, especially right now probbaly not quite 100% working his way back, isn't going to.
I will say this, Brennan isnt terrible under pressure, he was in the first game last year against Mississippi State and took way too many sacks, however, he did really well against Missouri improving a lot there in a pretty short time.
In the end we all know Max will still be better under pressure overall than Brennan because he's just more mobile. However, I think this really only comes more into play if we believe the OL is still basically the same as last year. If they can improve a bit, they may see Brennan as the guy who can do a little more for us over Max if he can command the offense the way he did in games like Mizzou and the 1s at the spring game.
Either way, this is a great problem to have right now between Brennan and Johnson. Would be even more great if 1 starts and the other sticks around - I would love for Finley to stick around but I get the feeling the spring put more of the writing on the wall for him he's not so much in contention.

4-10 for 60 yards and 3 sacks doesn't show anyone that he is "clearly" number 1. I could care less about what he or Myles did against the second string defense.

IF LSU wants to compete with the SEC we had better make Max our QB !!!

That isn't the QB room Coach O wants for this season.
He doesn’t care about the “QB room”, and shouldn’t

Truth be told, I don't think ANY of the QB's looked like elite players on Sat. Certainly, not up to the level of Burrow (whom all QBs will be judged against going forward, fairly or unfairly).
Did you forget 2019 Spring game. Many felt Brennan looked better than Burrow.
Truth is, Spring games don't mean crap.
Kirkland is our Murphy.
The team is split. Players playing our of position. Receivers running bad routes. No running backs.
On and on.
Fortunately we have a competent staff.

Hate that for Brennan if true, but you can’t say he wasn’t given every opportunity to show out. We have to put the best guy on the field.
In the 3 games Brennan was our QB He threw for 300+ yards and 3+ touchdowns. To say he hasn't shown out when he's been on the field is a bit disingenuous

While I agree that Max is still leading I don't agree that the gap is currently that large
I think it mainly is gonna depend on the direction they take the offense. If they are going to want to push the ball down the field and take a lot of shots then Brennan is the guy. If they want to use the qb as a runner and play a lot sideways then it’s Max.

Take away that BS penalty max won the 1st half

Bottom line to me is is this day in age you can’t have a successful offense without a dual threat QB.
Alabama just did it

You can install the entire playbook with Max under center
I haven’t watched practice videos, or the spring game, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I have a hard time believing this. 2019 LSU was unstoppable because they could attack the middle of the field. They could do that because Burrow was so smart and accurate. Burrow wasn’t fully there until year 5. Max is in year 2 and doesn’t have an exceptional arm. I’d be surprised if they could run the full passing playbook with him. This is Myles’ fifth year and he has a better arm than Max and Burrow. While his growth has been somewhat stunted by injuries and lack of playing time, I have to believe that he is better prepared to run a wide open passing offense that can attack every inch of the field.

Seniority? Who gives AF about that. This ain’t HS.

You are not beating Bama with a QB like Brennan. It’s no knock to Brennan but we know and have the blueprint already for what it takes.

It's not always about arm strength.
Do you want a guy who can rip the ball and make the easy plays in front of him or the guy who has a weaker arm who does almost everything else better.
Thing i love about max is he is always in charge of the offense. He knows where to go with the ball. He studies football like he is in the league.
Film study is just as important as everything else

Disagree... Brennan and Max both have strengths, but saw no overwhelming advantage to make such a claim.

I'm waiting on the Howard kid.. All of the qbs have a deficiency Max moves better than Myles and TJ that's not saying a lot.. We will not be any better than 9-3 with any of these bums..

You have to start Brennan, because in my opinion, it's a close race. If you don't, Brennan will leave, and he should, and you are left again with no experienced depth. Did last year teach you Johnsoners anything? I mean FFS, let's let a pocket passer walk, and go WITH A RUNNING QB with no one behind him. It IS close, and because it's close, it's gotta be Brennan. The caveat here is if Brennan isn't the same post-injury, or deals with lingering effects as the season goes on.
