Yeah, that's conflating things. You can't really say one way or the other how much impact protocols had. There is no control group to really judge the impact.

But the hodge-podge way that various protocols are implemented and enforced seem like they would not work very well even if the individual actions were deemed generally effective if used properly. And I am uncertain they have been deemed so.

But I do follow the protocols because it is only a marginal inconvenience for me.

This is a desperate move.

LSU can’t get out of its own way sometimes.

Funny how when they know the attendance is about to drop significantly, they lift the protocols. And then make up fictitious numbers that COVID-19 cases have dropped off. They weren’t ever really as high as they said they were anyway. Wake up Louisiana.

Gonna be really weird when attendance doesn’t improve even though I’ve been told for weeks that it’s because of Covid protocols

What will you say if it’s packed. Not fake packed like the auburn game, but really packed.

Incredible how so few people are willing to believe that doctors who dedicate their lives to protecting the health of others could possibly be acting in good faith.

How many doctors have dedicated their lives to studying covid 19? And how many just go along with what they are told by their admin or bosses?

And lets not forget doctors still prescribe meth to children and opioid to drug addicts, or send covid infected patients into nursing homes. And grow their hair out and call themselves a fricking woman.

I definitely can. There's no difference in COVID charts, curves, rates between places with protocols and places with zero protocols.

If these ridiculous restrictions were worth it, there should be a DRASTIC difference in outcomes between these places. There just isn't.

Lots of folks were saying that Covid requirements were the reason for low attendance….now we will see!

It’s hilarious

These “mandates” did literally nothing except hurt LSU attendance numbers and waste a lot of time and resources.

If they want to take “credit”, then where’s the awful “spreader events” from every other school playing football games with even bigger crowds? It doesn’t exist

frick off, LSU

Only in Louisiana. In every other state doctors were obviously not acting in good faith by allowing football games to be attended without these protocols...everywhere.

Congrats on seeing the situation for the opposite of what it really is.

The truth is that COVID cases have fallen off a cliff in Louisiana in the last three weeks. There's almost no COVID left in the state.

This is true. It was also true that the reproductive rate of COVID was well below 1 before these guidelines were put into place. The protocols had nothing to do with trying to control COVID. It's hilarious that you didn't realize that.

That’s actually not true. They were trending down when they were enacted but were still above 1 for a shirt time after the mask mandate.

Mask mandate? This is a thread about the Tiger Stadium COVID protocols. Why are you changing the subject?

FYI, the mask mandate is still in place.

Louisiana went below 1 on August 4. LSU's first home game was over 5 weeks later on September 11. The covid protocols were announced on August 24.

Why be so dishonest?

ETA, the mask mandates went into effect on August 4th...so you were wrong about that too.

You are mostly right, but louisiana didnt go below 1 in Rt on August 4th. They are constantly updating the data and they have retroactively shifted that date back to the 4th, but at the time it was still above 1 (though trending down) when the mask mandate was put in effect.

You are correct though that he seems to be confusing the JBE mask mandate with the timing of LSU's covid policies. Two distinctly different things with different timeframes.

masks will no longer be required in outdoor locations of the stadium for guests under 12 years of age.
Does this mean all those over 12 still have to wear masks?
