they really put their twitter handles on their practice jersey? LOL
Recruit, recruit, recruit. That's the world we live in. If you have a large following you can profit from your content so if players see that they can have their X accounts promoted where a lot of eyes will see. That might be the difference between them going to Colorado and somewhere else.

Colorado ranked #1 in the Transfer Rankings for 2023.
That's ONLY because he brought in 50 transfers. FIFTY!!! It's a cumulative effect. If you look at the average player rating that Colorado's ranking drops significantly.

He signed the top-ranked cornerbacks in the nation for the 2022 and 2023 classes.
So essentially he is great at recruiting one specific position.
Currently Colorado's 2024 is ranked 60th (On3). That class has a whopping 8 commits. None are in the top 100. Only 2 are in the top 300. He may get a kid or two each year to turn down big NIL money from Ohio St, Texas, Georgia, etc, etc, but he's not going to be able to get enough players to sustain any sort of success in major conf. football. Getting a few guys who should be major conf. players to mix in with the bad SWAC talent base is enough to win that conference. It's not enough to compete in even a watered down Big 12.
Deion was able to get enough solid players to be the best of the worst conference in D-1/D-1AA football (or whatever it is called now. Even at CU, this is a MASSIVE jump in competition. It's not out of the realm of possibility CU goes 0-12 this season (though I think they will find a way to win 2-3 games).
I have no personal animosity towards the guy. He was great player. I understand the media hype because of his accolades as a player. But the hype as a HC is ridiculous.

I do not see this lasting very long.

Yall infatuation with Coach Prime is weird.
It is our venting at the media pushing this fella knowing his examples will lead to keeping these kids down.
I see you have not figured it out yet.

We're talking about Deion Sanders.
Not Les Miles.
Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders are already in the top 10 in CFB for NIL, so that angle doesn't work.
2024 recruiting class is obviously incomplete, so the current ranking doesn't mean much.
Have fun hating on them, Alt.

This doesn't make sense. Les never went 0-12, and Colorado was damn close last year.

I think kids are waiting to see if this experiment is going to work.
If they win 8 games this year they will land some big commits and move up in the recruiting rankings.
FYI, no way in hell they win 8 games.

Winless season in 2020 with Kansas.
(Technically, 0-14 from 2012 to 2015 with LSU also.)

I guess just a little difference in coaching
Well one is a established proven winning coach of over 30 years. The other is a sideshow clown living off his fame as a player.

LSU would curb stomp Colorado 42-3
That would be the halftime score.

This is a big nothing-burger... except for the fact that the players have their Twitter handles on the back of their jerseys.
Odds that this was staged just so pp around the country would see and then follow these twitter dumbasses?

They've already landed some good players prior to however the 2024 class takes shape.
Colorado is not at all like Louisiana for recruiting. They know they have to go out of state to get more athletic players and speed. And they did that for 2023. They overhauled and improved speed and athleticism. But all these guys will be in their first year in a new program. So we'll have to see how it all comes together.
Deion is going to impart high levels of confidence to his players. That's who he is. They'll have good energy and momentum at times. But how will they handle adversity?
I have confidence in Deion as a coach, but we've got to see how good these other coaches really are. Especially OC -- that's critical for them to have success. And if he wants to do Wisconsin-type things on O, a lot of that is dependent on the O-line. They have some backs, but the O-line must perform if they want to establish a ground attack like that.
Some of y'all don't understand the impact Deion has. They've had Terrell Owens hanging around this week, and working with players. Terrell is not an alum. He went to Chattanooga. He's there because of Deion. Athletes, musicians, extreme amounts of media attention. This is the effect of Deion. They have to manage all that and focus in. But you'll see similar effects in recruiting too.
