Why not make it better if you can? Many people go to lots of games, some go to every game. Could you imagine eating peanuts and hot dogs 4 nights a week?
What about visiting fans or, in the case of football, random people from across the country who come to LSU for a bucket list trip? Many of them would have a better experience if they could try some local jambalaya at the game

Anything new this year?
They went from fresh fried catfish opening day a few years back, to day two having a beautiful piece of frozen fried cod, to not a single seafood item in the park today.

I think it's weird to eat anything other than hot dogs and peanuts at a baseball game.
Maybe some nachos every now and then

At little league games, sure. Major league parks have fast food restaurants and some very creative meals being served in their concessions. Baseball seasons beyond HS are long and it can be tough to get people to the park on weekday afternoons. Having some solid food options certainly wouldn’t hurt attendance.
I’d imagine most college parks are serving something similar to us, or worse, but with LSU being in south La, you’d think they can do a little better than Aramark.

It's only a few hours. Get some water or a soft drink and just stay hydrated. You'll live!
That’s fine.
But it doesn’t take much more effort to make a great concession program.
The problem is Aramark and LSU makes a lot of money from them

Yeah Aramark sucks balls. It's fine with me if we get better food in there. I probably won't eat it but I don't care what everyone else does.

Is Skip ever on record speaking about the improvement of the concessions stands that I've never heard?
Actually Coach Bertman knew the value of a satisfied fan base and made it a priority to make sure the concessions didn't suck and that the bathrooms were clean. Seemingly insignificant things were all important in the success of the program. It's because of Coach Bertman's relentless attitude to the details that the program is to this point. And now ironically those details get unattended to.
But I'm sure those of you that haven't been around for awhile won't understand that accepting anything but first class is not in accordance with the program.

I’m in the grand stand bathroom an hour before first pitch and somehow the soap was out an hour before the game. It really is pathetic.

Do you people go to games for food? Just get some damn peanuts and a coke and stop fricking crying. Biggest bitch made fanbase ever
This is Louisiana. If you have shite food at your stadiums something is wrong.

It's just all part of the experience. Do you go to the movies for popcorn? To the circus for cotton candy? To Hooters for the burgers? To a parade for candied apples? It's all part of the experience.

Food and baseball are pretty tied at the hip. What people are upset about is the food quality and selections are going downhill. It's not like people are asking to make it better, its just not make it worse.
I just want spicy peanuts back. Are they back???

It shouldn’t be this way. LSU should lead the country in everything that makes an experience great, and that includes food.

God I hate this take.... football season ticket holder and avid tailgaters that 9/10 times gets nothing cause we make a plate as we tear down the tailgate.... but sometimes the game goes long... we tear down esrly to see the band come down the hill walk around etc.... point is..an athletic dept as big as LSU can do better, especially being located in Louisiana....let locals take it over and take a cut...something. it's not even just mediocre ballpark food...it's revolting and unedible most of the time. One time made me and my wife violently sick

Is there any greater example of LSU athletics not listening to fans than Aramark. I don't think anyone even has a mediocre thing to say about them
One of Alleva’s last acts was signing the Aramark deal. I think it ends after next academic calendar year

Hope that’s the case. Here’s a small glimpse of what other stadiums are doing:
LINK
The fact that Louisiana, a state that is one of the most highly regarded in the country for food, can’t have Louisiana quality eats at LSU’s stadiums is a joke.
Where is the:
-andouille sausage
-poboys
-boudin balls
-gumbo
-jambalaya
-crawfish etouffee
-beignets
-chicory coffee
-red beans and rice
It’s not that difficult.

The concessions should be less options with better quality. The biggest problem LSU faces is the same problem Baton Rouge faces, who is going to do it? You have companies moving their offices out of BR because the labor poole in BR is dog shite compared to other places. You have people being hired that are so inept that it’s truly sad. Thank goodness they don’t take cash at the concession stands, can you imagine having to get change, what a task that would be, how long it would take.
The sooner everyone realizes the real problem, (Baton Rouge has an ignorance problem) the sooner we can effectively work on the actual issue, which imo is education. BR needs more educated citizenry that gives a shite about what they are doing.
Rant over, lol…. My apologies for the rant, but Alex box is no different than the vast majority of businesses in BR.

I would be perfectly content without the addition of beignets. I’m ok entering and leaving a game without wearing someone else’s powdered sugar, but that’s just me.
