This is a thread about enjoying and supporting concessions. I’m sorry some baws are upset about me enjoying a burger and watching baseball.

I agree, no reason to go to a game especially as an adult starving or looking to feed. Peanuts, popcorn or a hotdog and a beer should be enough for a baseball game

Concessions are bad at LSU....but is not that important.

In fact, concessions are either horrible, or super expensive.....EVERYWHERE!

And it does not affect the game and the atmosphere one bit!

What makes it worse is that it's now taxed, which sucks because personally I feel like I'm taxed enough as is

I live in Northwest Arkansas, the hogs do concessions right. Local restaurants have concessions in each major venue. Lots of good for, for reasonable prices.

I used to work for a local restaurant, LSU reached out to see if we wanted to provide food for games (football). We said no. The LSU cut is too high, you have to guesstimate product far in advance, outside things effect volume (rain, time of game, opponent, etc), LSU profit is too high, there are a lot of people to feed, etc. Part of the mentality is that it is "marketing" your brand.

The bottomline is its hard to keep the product great (depending on your type of food) and the profit is low.

I dont get why people get outraged over an option on the machine to tip. Simply hit no tip and be done with it.

I had a Lucky Dog with chili. It was hot and the bun fresh. Washed it down with a cold Bud Lite and with some salted peanuts.

I tipped because I am glad the workers got off their arse and came to work. Without them there are no concessions.

The only negative is the long line at the left field stand concession area. They need to look at this set up. If you want to run down and grab a fountain drink and something quick you can’t without getting in a long line unless you go late in thd game.

BWW cheeseburger/fries $12.66
Chili's burger/fries $10.79
5 Guys burger/fry $13.68
Fatburger burger/fries $10.87

Seems to be in line, especially considering the "captive audience" nature of the transaction.

Because it’s a concession stand where they hand you a product and do nothing else. Last game I put my card in the machine and had the worker looking down at the screen to see if I’d just accept the default extra 20%. I hit no tip and she looked at me crazy.
