Good point.

BTW, I think Cowherd has some good points, but I think that an equal number of points could be made in favor of LSU.

He always, ALWAYS, throws LSU in the mix if the best teams in college football. Not just this year, but for at least the last four years he's been doing it. Guess he didn't know what he was talking about then either?

Cowherd has all ways been complimentary towards LSU. He just doesn't think we will beat Alabama this year. He even said that LSU and Alabama are far better than any other team in college football this year and it's not even close is how I think he phrased it.

I could not disagree more with Cowherd. I was extremely worried about Alabama before the Arkansas game. After watching Ala/Ark I am convinced that the Tide is very beatable in Tuscaloosa. They are really good in spots but I think LSU is in a different class on defense. LSU by 10.

You got that from watching the ALA/ARK game? If anything, this weekend told me ALA/LSU pretty much are the same exact team.

#1 is the biggest thing. huge, really.

#2 is true, but has proven not to be a huge factor in this matchup, given the equal talent on both sides. Plus through 4 games Les Miles has been pretty flawless. Could be turning a new leaf.

#3 is just stupid.

Florida 06 most penalized team in sec wins national championship, LSU 07 most penalized team in SEC win national championship, sometimes penalties means your very aggressive and ends up paying off

LSU will not score.

Someone please tell me why I'm wrong.

for starters LSU hasn't been shut out since 2002 (Ironically against Alabama, though remember who our coach was then?)

We scored 15 on them in 2009, when they had the vastly superior team, our offense was worse AND our QB and top RB got hurt and had to leave the game.

Wait. You watched both the Alabama vs Arkansas and the LSU vs WVU game and this was your conclusion???

Just like the last several, it will be an epic struggle that could go either way. What every Tide or Tiger fan should hope for is that it is decided by the players and not some silly-arse official debacle like we had in '09. As for Cowpie, I agree with him on #1. #2's a push(I like Saban and Miles fwiw) and #3 is high debateable as far as smarts and speed are concerned.

2. We have TM7 and there is no equivalent to that.

The above statement is false, however. Kirkpatrick sp? is really good.

bullshite. There's TM7, and then everybody else. How good is Kirksuckit on punt coverage? How many turnovers has he created? I'm asking because he's not on any leaderboards for any stats, so I'm wondering how good he is. How many touchdowns does Kirky have?

In college football you can count on two teams being overrated every year, every week, in every poll, Alabama and USC. It'll be good for us when we beat them again this year, just like last year when we were supposed to lose.

I love TM7 but I'm not blind to the talent of Alabama's secondary. You obviously haven't watched them if you think TM7 is THAT much better. He is uncanny, I'll give you that.

Cowherd is all about generating calls and listeners. He knows that folks int he Tiger Nation are listening and will stay tuned if he fires them up. LSU has a good record of winning in Tuscaloser. CLM has beaten and will continue to beat Little Nicky. They are both good coaches. What penalties is he talking about?

[quote]I agree. I really hate Greenberg, he is by far the least needed person on that show. I still listen, but more because of lack of options.

Check out the Morning drive on WIST in New Orleans from 6-8 am. They have great discussion on Saints and LSU. Former Sports writer for Times Pic is host. Just google WIST New Orleans and you can stream it.

Huge upgrade over Mike and Mike.

That's the only advantage. And that advantage may be enough. We'll see.
