I wouldn't be shocked if we lose @ Bama, but I actually expect us to win. Not just hope (and I wouldn't bet more than $5), but expect to.

Coaches are equal. Both Saban and Miles are very good; Saban is more strategic, Miles is more aggressive. You CAN bet on this: Miles will have some "crazy shite" play that he has just waiting for the right time, that will blindside Saban. People will talk about it being Miles' luck, but the odds are he already has it in the book and is holding it back. That isn't luck, it's good coaching.

We CAN score on Bama's defense. Ware+Ford will force Bama to play up, and Lee will be able to hit Randle and Beckham.

At Bama is big, but this team has been away from home a bunch already. Road game isn't as big a factor to them

This a pick em game. It will come down to which QB plays more mistake free and can make a big play. It will be a 24 - 20 or 20 - 17 type game. If it is a high scoring game I favor LSU. First year QB vs Lee's experience. That negates the home field advantage.

I know our d dropped the ball a little at wvu, but arkys defense looked HORRIBLE. There best players were out.

After a bye I like our chances. If we attack we win, play conservative, we lose.

1) It is an obvious advantage for Alabama to have the game at home instead of in Death Valley. Most of LSU's victories in BDS during the 5-2 record, that one poster pointed out, didn't occur against an Alabama team this good.

2) Anyone that says Saban has a for sure advantage over Miles in game day coaching is just wrong. There WILL BE a play or two from LSU that makes me throw a beer across the room. Saban is awesome but Miles is clutch and fearless.

3) I think Alabama's defense is a little better, but I think Lee is seasoned and more equipped to handle the game. Should be a good one guys.

If both teams come in healthy.

If both teams come in undefeated.

We will beat them in much the same fashion as we did in 1982.

1.) This team has experience playing tough opponents on the road already.

2.) This team has a better Special Teams Unit in terms of kicking & kick coverage units than Alabama, bigtime.

3.) This team will run. Book it.

4.) This team can pass. Book it.

5.) We will win the Field Position Battle.

6.) We will turn the ball over to our offense routinely. Their defense will wilt in the crucible.

7.) We have #7.

8.) Chavis>McElwain

9.) Lee>AJ

10.) LSU will have way more composure.

I'll give my answer, and you tell me why I'm wrong.

We will come out with a very strong dose of Ware and Ford pounding the line over and over, with a fresh Blue as our 3rd back, and Bama will have to play up to stop the run. Toss in Wing's punting and this becomes a field position game; add our defense and it's unlikely Bama can score enough to force us out of this gameplan.

Factor all that in, and you get Bama putting 8 in the box a whole lot, especially after Wing flips the field for us; and that leaves man coverage on Randle and Beckham. Given Lee's quick release, you have to actually hit him before he decides to throw to affect the pass. If he sees man coverage with the safetys up at the snap, he WILL eventually hit someone for a TD. Randle phyically wins the coverage battle, if he can catch the ball. Shep with any space could take the ball in from anywhere. Beckham, more and more it looks clear, WILL get open and catch anything not actually batted away.

Barring a rash of fumbles or total collapse of our defense, we look to have too much for Bama

1) It's in Alabama.

2) They have the better coach.

3) They are the smarter, less penalized team, and play with relentless speed.

Glad to see "LOL" preceding this cowterd azzclown set of comments

Let me retort ... It could be played on top of Bear Bryant's Grave, and it wouldn't make a GD difference in this game. We own their azz since they came back from probation, and it's NEVER going back to the way it was on "cheating days" before the BCS series came into effect. LSU is the premier SEC Program ... and we say let them all including the cowturd exalt BAMA ... We show the world at BAMA who we are, and we take that GD third crystal OVER NICK'S DEAD BODY ... He's done at BAMA after this year and this azz beating

We going to the SHIP ... ... one game at a time ... pass the Kentucky Bourbon

Alabama is still a long way away, I'm more concerned about Florida right now. Cowheard is just being provocative.

Means refs in back pocket!

This would be my worry. If our defense Taunts and stares down the reciever after tackles like we did this weekend.. THe refs will be quick to throw flags and give Bama extra Opportunities.

but WE still win the game....

this game is a toss up. The above statement is false, however. Kirkpatrick sp? is really good.

Alabama is ranked 3rd in the country in fewest penalties a game

When Bama plays at home, the refs always call more penalties on the opposing team.

Bama has played 3 of their 4 games at home so far this season.

You do the math.

Don't underestimate Lee's experience. September isn't even over, and he has already had success in 3 hostile road environments. He is brimming with confidence. I don't see Bryant Denney being much of a factor this year.

Not sure why people get up in arms about this. He makes some decent, generic points anyone could make and the game is nowhere near close to being played. It's too early to tell which team has the advantage and Cowherd is basing his observations mainly on the results of the past week. If that is all I had seem of the two teas, I may make the same assumption.

I think he's exactly right, except for coaching advantage, esp after a bye.

Bama I think has a little better defense, not alot.

Homefield advantage.

And they are more disciplined.

Whether that equates to a victory remains to be seen.

Is there an LSU fan that would take Saban after an open date over Miles? Nobody beats Miles with more than a week to prepare. Can't say the same about little Nicky.
