The coaches hate CLK because hey are jealous of him and are afraid of him now that he is at LSU

Who cares about those rankings. Win out and it doesn’t matter. Let OM be ranked 1 for all we care

Old Miss will lose two more games, then they’ll have no choice but to drop them out of the Top 25. Old Miss had its once a decade flash of relevance in 2025. They’ll be back at one singular point in the 2030’s, you can bank on that.

Lots of Notre Dame fans that vote. They want to guarantee ND is in top 12

It’s so funny they won’t admit it but it’s dead on.
Nobody else wanted Lane going to a big program Bc they knew what would happen.
Nice to be peaking late in the season.

And they don't care much form LSU, so it's the perfect storm. Pretty much that simple

You do know these rankings don’t count, right?

Imagine how Florida feels. They beat OM and Texas.

Against teams currently ranked
Texas 3-1
Ole Miss 2-2
Alabama 2-1
ND 0-1
LSU 0-2
This is what is giving voters questions.
We need to win out. Good news is we are playing better and coaching is better as well.

BYU lost to Central Florida, Notre Dame lost to BYU, they should both be no higher than 20

Let’s wait and see when the real poll comes out,the playoff committees is the one that counts.

When we go to a 24 team playoff, these rankings will become so incredibly useless.
Everyone knows what's coming but still doesn't want to admit it yet.
Lane at LSU is going to a problem for everyone, year in and year out.

Coaches won’t let LSU jump OM, but
And if you think coaches actually fill out their own rankings, you're nuts. They let some staffer do it for them. Coaches don't have time to review all the games and make any kind of informed ranking. Actually, neither do the journalists that fill out rankings.
The only ranking that matters in today's game is the final Playoff Selection Committee's rankings and seedings. The rest is clickbait.
Ignore it.

As long as OM is ranked ahead of LSU, then everybody has the moral highground over Lane because he was wrong to leave OM for LSU. They're hoping that by keeping OM over LSU, they will affect the selection committee, but I still don't even think it's going to matter at season's end. At the moment, LSU's trajectory is up and Ole Miss's is down. If it stays that way, they'll have no choice but to rank LSU higher than OM.

These poor shouldn’t matter, but the CFP committee uses them as a in making their poll it is human nature

We are ranked where we are because of the way we lost two games. We choked against Ole Miss. We struggled against Kentucky. Though we beat LA Tech decisively the score should have been much more lopsided had we done a better job of executing.
SEC teams are expected to not just win but to totally dominate weak n0n-conference opponents. I think the correct wording is style points.
On the other hand, the only rankings that matter is the one put out by the selection committee. We win out and that problem solves itself.
