If we were in playoff contention year in, year out, nobody would give a shite about the off field stuff. We aren’t and O is out.

What has gone wrong? He brought his favorite team from being so bad they had to fire their coach to bringing a national championship to getting paid about $35 million dollars and walking away. I don’t see anything wrong with that.

He's the type that gives baws a bad name.

Well, he's walking away because he's also brought his favorite team back to being so bad that they've had the fire the coach again. And his favorite team is now arguably worse than the team that he took over from the previous coach.
There are better ways to leave.

You think this team is worse than Miles teams? I am not even going to try to respond to that because logic will be useless with you.

Well, in 2015, a year for which many thought Miles should have been fired, we went 9–3 (5–3 SEC). In 2014, we went 8–5 (4–4 in SEC), which is what set the stage for the firing talk in 2015. Miles's worst year was 2008, when we went 8–5 (3–5 SEC).
We also have serious OL issues, which was one of the reasons cited for getting rid of Miles.
I mean, I don't know that I see last year and this year as being all that much better.
I guess you can try to astound me with your logic. I'm sure I'll be very, very impressed.

quote:really. Last year was a complete abortion having the worst defense in school history. This year he promised he identified what was wrong and the tigers were ready. LSU had its o line return from last year and they were surely be a strength. Then UCLA kicked the teeth down their throats on national television. LSU was woefully unprepared and were exposed. O hired coordinators that never did the job before. Then bo nix comes to town a week from being benched vs ga state. LSU made him look like a damn heisman trophy candidate for the second year in a row breaking a 20 yr home win streak vs auburn. Then LSU didn’t get off the plane vs Kentucky. Allowed 330 rushing yards. This doesn’t include his whores, throwing chairs at assistants over a hype video and letting the whores kids practice. You see he fricked up a lot and I left out a ton
What has gone wrong?

quote:absolutely they are lol. Three losses already following a five loss season of embarrassing losses This is a bad team that needed four turnovers to win by 6 vs florida. Four turnovers won’t happen every week going forward

I think some folks are still concerned about the off-field stuff, particularly, some of the parents of our recruits. So many want a honorable person to lead their sons; a person who they believe will take care of their kid academically and morally. There are still fans who believe that wins are not everything, that representing the LSU Brand properly is important, too. Might not be the majority of the posters on this board, but there are such folks who believe that LSU's image is important.

You Baws have a very low self image.
The things you claim to admire are not much to aspire to…
But to each his own.

Orgeron stood firm in his support of President Trump following the Black Lives Matter protests in Summer 2020.
That is not quite accurate.
I think Brody Miller put it correctly by saying Ed is apolitical. He supported JBE. I think he honestly was just saying Trump was a great host at the White House. He probably pays little attention to politics and was honestly blissfully unaware of the rapidly shifting political winds.
As any true baw should. Live your life and don't worry about shite you can't control.
Otherwise, I completely agree with the point you are making.
Ed is the ultimate OT baller living the dream.
