Coach O said Fulton's injury was "very serious" but getting better...

What is Kristian's actual injury? Why does O have to be so cryptic?
Posted on 11/21/18 at 9:19 pm to TNTigerman
Coach O says a lot of dumb shite
“Only the best coordinators”
“We gonna run a spread offense”

HIPPA doesn’t apply to coaches, it applies to members of a patient’s healthcare team.
This is simply common courtesy

Because he's a coach and not a doctor?

It absolutely applies to all employees of LSU

So then I'm guessing Muddbone is full of shite then.
He said it was a sprained ankle when it happened.

Lol no. It would apply to the staff doctors and trainers, but there is no case law supporting the assertion that a coach, professor, or janitor is a HIPAA covered entity.

yep only involved with professionals involved with patient care... coach o is not a medical professional and could say whatever he wanted

how the heck did you guys buy that it was an ankle injury?
that dude tore something in his back.. look at how he froze and the angle he was at... he got his back bent to far backwards

This is not true. This is like saying the CEO of a hospital could tell you someone’s diagnosis because they aren’t medical staff. HIPAA covers entities not just medical staff. That said I think O is just being careful. Athletes sign away all their rights basically including HIPAA when they sign grant in aid. The university can get any information they want on any athlete. I know this from seeing athletes in clinic settings.

Its privacy of the player and nothing else. You don't know how HIPPA works.
Posted on 11/22/18 at 5:48 am to Blanky6715
It's applies to anyone that has access to PHI of patients in any environment that manages or has knowledge of medical records in any capacity.
