3 of those losses are to bama. He has done quite well in the tougest division in CFB. Did anyone else expect this?

You’re going to get down voted to hell and back with people chiming in about the worst sec west in years and a historic blowout loss to state, but you’re not wrong.

With that said, why is LSU the only school not able to field a competent offense?

ETA: I'm retarded. I thought this was about Saban. My comment was directed at Saban. Not O. Reading is hard.

He's both a visionary and a strategist. Very few coaches possess both those abilities.

Aranda is another up and coming mind that LSU should be doing everything in it's power to retain here long term.

This is a valid question that deserves to be asked to Coach O point blank.

No I did not expect for us to be shutout by Bama twice in a row at home

This is why I hate those saying “Why did we fire Les to get the same results”.
Les crapped the bed his last three years against the SEC west and the SEC in general

Expect what exactly? That is essentially where we were before he was hired. In fact, that's kind of why Miles was fired in the first place.

This is getting tiresome...Orgeron being lauded for not being as bad as many thought he might be. What a backhanded compliment.

FWIW, I've hated the hire form Day One, but I never thought we'd tank. Just slowly take on water and due to his local ties make even even harder to get rid of him once we realized the mistake.

Not everyone...even us mean old haters...thought we'd be 6-6 this year.

Toughest division during his time? HELL NO. Are you kidding? It has been a shite show outside of BAMA.
Then he loses to UF TWICE IN 3 TRIES OF THAT shite SHOW.

Damn you fricking idiots.

*once we got burrow

if we were trotting out Brennan, Narcisse, and McMillan we'd be in that 6-6 range

could you imagine this shitty offense with a major downgrade at QB?

I might have been wrong, but I wasn't going to have LSU at 6-6 even with what we had on the roster at QB. Hell...I didn't think the wheels were going to fly off after the Troy loss last year. Plus...I had no idea what we had in Burrow.

Weird thing has been the dichotomy between what it feels like is happening with Burrow at the helm and what the stats read. He's clearly a calming force and usually makes pretty solid decision, and yet his state line is horrendous.

But I agree...we'd be worse off but I'm not sure it would have been that much of a drop. We've won ugly before, with shitty offensive schemes AND lousy QB's at the helm, remember.

I did not. I am very happy with O and his direction of the program. I think he has been damn near perfect this year.

I also think he does something in the off season to try to bolster up Steve.....I hope so anyway.

our 3 options were Andrew Hatch-level bad. we only did that once and it was for like a game

McMillan didn't start at Tulane

Narcisse got benched in fricking JUCO

Brennan is 190 lbs and was likely last on the depth chart in the spring

oh it was bad. BAD.

The west was not good last year. It isnt terrible this year. Yes AU is down and Arky stinks, but AU still isnt a gimme. And Aggie playing defense throws a wrench in the spokes.

Over that time period, here are the records of the teams sans Bama

2017: 4-8
2018: 2-8

Auburn

2016: 8-5
2017: 10-4
2018: 6-4

Ole Miss

2016: 5-7
2017: 6-6
2018: 5-5

Miss St

2016: 6-7
2017: 9-4
2018: 6-4

Texas A&M

2016:8-5
2017: 7-6
2018 6-4
