Still vast improvement in this department. LSU did not lose one game this year because of clock mis-management unlike in the past. Ole Miss in the past and Auburn last season still have me shaking my head.
and LSU had seasons where it did not impact them as well...... I mean hell O could have 3 games it impacts him next year, Les had his flaws but it wasn't something that impacted every game or every year

LSU should have the best D and O lines it has had in a long time. Good O-lines make for great QB's and RB's. Great D-lines make for great LB's and DB's. LSU will have good to great lines. The 20 true freshmen who played this year will not be freshmen and will have valuable experience.

and potentially an entirely new offensive system

Not going to happen. Even Tennessee won't come after Canada.

It is? Explain please.

Sounds like every year.

That's the beauty of being an O sycophant. The various excuses are already built in and can and will be cited with ease depending on which catastrophe occurs next. Just look at this year - O doesn't do anything, so any loss is on the coordinators or Les because they're "his players". Of course next year we have a Soph or Rs Freshman QB and maybe a new OC and a tough schedule so even 8 wins is a banner year

Yeah, what a dipshit. He is also playing 3-stars DJ Chark and Russell Gage over those players you mentioned. What's his deal with 3-star players. He really should try to put the BEST players on the field. DJ and Gage ????

Of all the coaches in the west not named saban do you see any of them going 9-3 next year?

Remember auburn has NEVER in their long football history had back to back 10 win seasons.

How about 1971 and 1972, also 1957-58? I think they've done it twice though I may be mistaken

How many of LSU's total points were scored in the second half?

Oh my aching arse. You are spouting off about "the guys" credentials but don't even know his fricking name.

I bet you are also infatuated with 5 stars

Very, very, very unlikely. I think Eaux and his staff can actually look at the digital clocks in the endzones and figure out what all the little numbers mean.

quote:

Les had his flaws but it wasn't something that impacted every game or every year

When you cost your players games because you can't figure out a game clock it doesn't need to happen EVERY GAME to be a huge detriment.

Did a quick google search for "les miles clock management":

A few Results:
"Les Miles Epic Fail - LSU vs. Ole Miss 11/21/09 (HQ) - YouTube"

Auburn game - "As same mistakes continue, Les Miles might be out of time at LSU - After this latest clock management blunder, Les Miles' clock might have finally run out, too. I know it was chaotic, but LSU wasted way too much time. Should've been sitting in formation, waiting to snap it…"

"Les Miles Blows Another Game with Poor Coaching and Clock - Penn State vs. LSU in the Florida Citrus Bowl, Joe Paterno vs. Les Miles, Class vs. Crazy. In that game, Les Miles shows why it's obvious he flunked Clock Management 101 in coach's school. Can at least one assistant coach please sit down and help Les Miles understand this area of coaching?"

"Coach Les Miles says LSU Tigers clock management gaffe addressed" - Then LSU runs out of time in his last loss at LSU.

But yeah, I can see why you were okay with Les' clock management skills

Just curious, how many practices have you went to in your life and watched these guys you mentioned compete?

I looked at the post you are replying to and have to point out that it was total sarcasm on my part.

The poster I was replying to actually seems to think that the LSU coach doesn't care to win games and uses players over ones who are better.

Time management. Not nearly as many blunders, delays of game, poor timeouts, etc.

Agree

quote:

- Half time adjustments are better. I think we are a better second half team than under Les Miles. Both offensively and defensively. (Perhaps this is an illusion, because I think we start more slowly than we did under Les.)

I don't think it's adjustments or slow starts. We're just physically superior and opponents can't hang with us for a full 60 minutes.

quote:

- I think Coach O puts the best players on the field. Les seemed to have favorites.

Disagree here.

quote:

The team improves as the season progresses. I can't say that about Miles coached teams, at least after the Alabama game. Under Les we seemed to regress post Bama. Even in 2011 we got worse following the Bama game - struggled with Arkansas and Georgia

Too soon to tell. All three opponents after Bama were tomato cans. All three were bad enough to fire their coaches.

Well, honestly we didn't get that much out of those players on the field. Saw flashes of good, but nothing to write home about. Maybe Jefferson was showing out in practice, doing a better job backing, or they just wanted to see how he did in the games and get him some experience for th future.

You’re just stupid.
Here ya go dumbass.
If you want the longer version I’ll post it where I show WHO O beat from a shitty team perspective.
Now frick off because NONE Ood what you said is true to the eye test.

Same record except playing a much harder schedule basically gets a coach fired.

In 2015 LSU beat UF who won the east.
In 2017, LSU beat AU who won the west.

The main difference between the 2 seasons was the Strength of Schedule
In 2017, the SoS is 49.
Massey Rating of 21

2015, SoS was Number 2
Massey Rating of 6
