I know the names. Even if we get all of those, this class will not be as good as we’re accustomed to.

You announced there was a “MILES LOVER here folks “ in what I interpreted as a derogatory manner.

My apologies if that was not your intent.

Beating bad teams doesn’t prove much to me.

LSU was favored in all games but one (although I cannot remember tbe Auburn spread). We sit at 9-3 against a historically bad schedule. Two wins over winning teams.

Hard to gauge improvement against bad teams.

And yeah I’ve been to all the road games for many years and the opinions of opposing fans mean little to me .

What is worse:

Darrel Williams had a great year but not as many explosive long gains for the running backs this year. I think that’s largely in part from not having a fb blowing open the holes.

That being said , I am much happier watching an offense with a pulse compared to Miles stagnant offense.

You sound like an actual retard saying LSU struggled wth Arkansas and UGA in 2011, two teams LSU beat by 28 and 30, respectively. That was a #3 ranked Arkansas and a top 10 UGA

You didn't watch those games apparently. LSU was lost offensively early. Basically, a single player turned those games around - Tyrann Mathieu. The offense struggled mightily for most of the game and Les didn't learn from that and prepare properly for the championship game.

Don't watch LSU games? If you did you would know that LSU scored every one of its points in the 2nd half. Aranda couldn't stop Troy in that game.

Right. And we were extremely thin at defensive line in that game.

As I see it Coach O and his staff has improved on the following things compared to the Les Miles era: - Time management. Not nearly as many blunders, delays of game, poor timeouts, etc. - Half time adjustments are better. I think we are a better second half team than under Les Miles. Both offensively and defensively. (Perhaps this is an illusion, because I think we start more slowly than we did under Les.) - I think Coach O puts the best players on the field. Les seemed to have favorites. - The team improves as the season progresses. I can't say that about Miles coached teams, at least after the Alabama game. Under Les we seemed to regress post Bama. Even in 2011 we got worse following the Bama game - struggled with Arkansas and Georgia. - Penalties. We started poorly this year, but then we corrected and the number of penalties per game really dropped. Coach O was able to correct whatever the issue was. Not sure Miles ever did. - Kickoff coverage and strategy is improved. - Band performance at half time is much improved. What is worse: - Field goal kicking. Maybe punting. - Slower starts offensively (and defensively). - Concessions.

What you said about Les was spot on. But let's not set the bar too low. We should expect ANY competent coach to be able to do those things. By the 2010 year, Les couldn't. I wanted him gone at the end of that year. Then he made me believe again until he put his favorite back in and cost us a championship. That was the last straw for me. He only got worse from there.

Hiring Orgeron was an incompetent move by Alleva, but we're stuck with him for now. While that list of things is better, anybody should be able to do that. Unfortunately, we've only beaten one good team this year, so we don't know how O is going to work out. With the players we are losing, a QB with no real playing time, and the schedule, next year looks rough. It won't be until the year after that we know what we've got, I'm afraid.

Yeah, you're right and I am going to miss the classes with 7 or 8 highly rated DB's and one O-linemen and 0 D-linemen. Guess we'll just have to suffer through having great O and D-lines for a change.

He's evolved into a good coach and game manager. People just don't want to give him credit.

One of those years LSU played over 30 true and RS freshmen with 12 of those starting games during the first 7 games of the season. May have been more after that.

It absolutely does because the majority of the snaps was by a Senior QB with a senior/ Jr Oline.
The ONLY DIFFERENCE WAS NOT HAVING Key on defense.
So much bullshite by you bunch of fricking O punks that believe this season can even compare to 2015 when BRANDON frickING HARRIS WAS THE. QB.

This team is FAR from a young team as was 2015 with a young Clapp for example.
It is possible to lose 15-17 STARTERS OR OHERS WHO HAD SIGNIFICANT PLAYING TIME FROM THIS TEAM!!!

Etling
Guice
Key
Malone
Weathersby
WClapp (possible)
DWilliams (MVP)
DJChark
RGage
JD Moore
DJackson
CLac
GGilmore
FHeron
EParis
DAlexander
CThompson

I'm not setting the bar low. I expect to compete for championships. My point is that Orgeron has made certain improvements. If he can continue to make improvements, especially in offensive and defensive line play, and at quarterback, we will be ok and will compete for championships. It is too early to call coach O a failure or a success, but there are promising signs. It is not all doom and gloom. The fan base needs to give him some support and a chance to prove himself.

If you think the LSU defense should give up as many or more points to Troy as they did to Auburn, A&M and Bama, more power to you. If you can't take facts of the game maybe you should ban yourself from the board.

LSU gave up 24 points to Troy. 14 of the 24 came in the 2nd half of the game.

it was 17-0 at the half.

not really a big LSU guy, are you?
