He didn't appear bitter when he left. Calling Woody a Friend, with a multi million dollar check in his bank account.
Would you be bitter with one of the four National Championship in LSU Football on your resume. Best team in the history of NCAA football.
Pretty select company.
It appears Kelly will never join that club.

Invite former players, not fired coaches.

There was a certain way a program had to be run for a successful season during Covid.
That is one that is highly structured with a strong respected Leader at the Top.

Only one program had that.

Who doesn't love Coach O? Did he really do anything so unforgivable? I mean we're in a good spot and won some big games. Covid was shitty football for begin wjgh

That radio show that O appeared on where he described his exit and took the money and ran away told me all I needed to know about him. He duped us. It was all Brady and Aranda.

There’s definitely some kind of animosity between O and the people in charge of LSU right now. It seems like he’s been at every other college football teams practices and games, with the exception of LSU.

I mean when people wanted him out in 2021, someone or some group ran a smear campaign against him with fake and embellished stories. Pretty shitty move whatever you think of the guy. He doesn't have much incentive to come back and I'm sure Kelly isn't isn't opening the doors wide open for him either.

I also don't remember any fired coach at other schools coming to practices and games in the years following being fired

At this point, whenever he wants to come back, they should roll out the purple and gold carpet. I actually would like to see Saban, Les, and O all together at least once. It felt special when Jay won the CWS and Paul and Skip were around the program. Jay Clark and DD, Beth and Yvette, etc.

SMU didn't have a winning season for 11 years and didn't appear in another bowl game for 22.

There are guys he recruited on the roster still. It'd be weird.

but let’s be honest, he was fired.

He was fired after leading the best team in the history of College Football to a championship because the world, and this country lost its collective mind. A pimple on Coach O’s arse cares more about LSU and the state of Louisiana than Kelly ever will.
That’s just the truth. If Covid, and the now defunct BLM movement never happened, he would still be the coach.
