Weren't man enough to tell CJJ to his face they were leaving so they called him after the fact instead?

Did they even call him or just put their name in the portal? Sounds like the 3 were not even people who would have been told to look elsewhere.

I'm guessing its the obvious 3. Kling, Moffet, and Cam Johnson. Moffet to me is by far the biggest loss here. Cam Johnson has a lot of potential but he like Moffet last season needs some refinement and work during the summer to take a big step forward.

Moffett entered before they did exit interviews according to some timelines posted here. I would think it’s maybe a guy like Dutton who he clearly likes. I would think Johnson and Kling were the other 2.
Then again, it could’ve been someone like Mitchell who was rumored to be leaving but kept hanging around the team. It’s possible his exit interview was done earlier since he wasn’t on a playoff roster.

Kid thinks he coming back discusses things with Jay in the exit interview about the future. Goes home looks around and re-considers, this totally off the wall.
Jay seems a bit aggravated by some of the departures with this quote.

I hate losing players especially when they show immense improvement. I will say that Kling, Johnson and Moffett weren't really called upon as late as they should have. Kling definitely was the best defensive outfielder but we need plate production as well. Moffett looked like he improved but not as much as other pitchers. idk I'm not gonna shite on any of these players especially knowing Johnson may turn it around soon just as far as leverage Moffett and Kling had to leave to improve their prospects.

I might have heard it wrong, but I thought I heard one guy said to his face 3X’s he was coming back and then changed his mind. Not sure it was 3 different guys.
