Can't stand him. He thinks he "is" LSU Baseball. I look forward to the day when he gives it up.

fair enough. I suspect they are trying to get a broader audience than your core college baseball fans.

Personally, I don't like it and don't think it's needed. And, their unwillingness to address what all real fans watching the game were thinking as the choke job was going on also failed the real fans.

To each their own.

also hate that ESPN puts cameras in the players and parent's faces all game long.

The extreme closeups of family cross a line of decency. Like give people a little space. Closeups are fine, but damn, just back up a few inches and feel free to not linger so long. It’s invasive and uncomfortable. And then while the whole team gives the pitcher his little bubble in the dugout so he can stay in the zone, the camera operator violates that, dare I say sacred, space and rushes up to get in his face in the middle of the game. Show some respect to the game. Very amateurish camera work by ESPN.

Eh, parents sacrifice a lot for these kids' careers. I don't mind giving them a little screen time.

I'd much rather see the parents than guillot or the k beast.

Since people are piling on, I figured I would share a story.

We were standing room only at the Georgia game before the Garth Brooks concert a few years ago. By chance, he asked us if we needed seats and let us sit in his extras behind home plate.

Of the dozens of games I’ve been to in the old and new box, was the best seats I ever sat in and it was an extremely cool experience.

So he gets a pass from me!

Because he gets the fans cheering and supporting the team? There have been many a rally started by LSU baseball teams after Chris Guillot led the fans to get off their feet and yell.

I could get behind this reason if it wasn’t obvious the parents wished they would get the cameras out of their face when their son’s at the plate.

Leave Chris alone. He looks like he might be pregnant.

Love Chris. Love the K Lady. They were a huge part of the old Box magic and I’m glad they’re still doing their thing.

Espn catching that feat was second only to when Chris became a UCLA fan that one year.

The whole patio at Ivars yelled at him on the big screen to "sit the frick down". Was pretty funny.

I never realized that so many fans dislike him.

I like when he makes direct eye contact with someone, and they don't scream after his command.

ESPN produces college baseball very well throughout the year…even through the regionals and Super Regionals.

Then, for the CWS, they produce it like the LLWS. I’d love to know the internals if that.

Spot on.

I'm just glad to see a parent other than Kim Mulkey.

When KRob was playing and Kim was frequently shown in the stands, I used to joke that it was sad that none of the other parents loved their kids enough to come watch them play for LSU.
