Why do people think this? The guy never gets reps, why all of a sudden in the most important game of the year is he gonna "tear it up?"

Because he has 6 hard runs against Aggy and UGA. Noe he's the next big thing.

He’s a RB3 or RB4 on a good team, but anyone can run the ball in this offense & against Oklahoma

Exactly it's not about the run game, it's about what CEH does for our passing game that could be the issue as the two fresh don't seem to have the best hands and Joe checks down to his RB a lot when he's getting pressured so its def something to keep an eye out for

Can’t remember if it was A&M or Georgia but he exploded through the gap between the tackle and guard. He picked up 8 yards in .5 seconds

People forget that Clyde's stock price was very low at the end of 2018 and Burrow's future was "meh".

Chris Curry has to be the RB most overrated by LSU fans in recent history.

I thought the guy was going to be a steal in his class but has been a disappointment. He doesn't trust the blocking assignments and instead of hitting the hole he dances around. Also miserable pass protector which isn't going to get him much PT in this offense. Guys in this thread are going to be disappointed.

I think Sullivan and moss will pickup the receptions. Blocking will be important as Oklahoma blitzes a lot. Curry and tdp can do this. As the season progressed, we needed an extra blocker less and less.
Curry could have a big game because he goes straight ahead and is hitting the hole faster than last year. OU’s d linemen get upfield fast and leaves room for runners to pop past them.
At the start of the season many complained that we didn’t have a marquee back. Now they say CEH is unreplaceable.
Give it a rest.
Our coaches actually know some football. You’d think 13-0 would make an impact on people.

I'm still expecting Emery to get it going.

The guy who gets the most action will have nothing to do with how well they can run the ball. Not in this offense. They all can run the ball well. How do you pass protect and catch ball is gonna make you the starter and load bearer.

I don't know if he'll even play, let alone have a big game. That said, he runs somewhat similar to Darrell Williams. Not great in space or elite level speed, but he's got pretty good lateral quickness at the LOS and can get upfield with power.

Obviously there is a reason he is buried on the depth chart, but I think given the same opportunities he could perform as well as TDP, who is really just a straight line power back who NEEDS a big hole in front of him to get going.

Cannot be overstated
Offense just went from a 5 speed to a 4 speed...

Surely we can identify that, based on the last 7+ games and how carries have been distributed, TDP will get 80% of the carries against Oklahoma

no?

Oklahoma’s smaller linebackers and db’s are in for a long day. Curry has been running like he’s mad at the grass lately.

None of the other rbs offer what CEH does at this point. It will be rb by committee if CEH does not play. The rb performing the best will get the most playing time. Rb choice will be somewhat situational unless a frontrunner emerges.

Hopefully, this speculation is all moot, and CEH is ready to go!

I hope you are right. I just hope they protect the ball. We don't need mistakes.

I think TDP will fricking go nuts and be the main back. I look for Emery to be a factor as well.
