My location is right there for you to see. I'm sure sure the people in Tuscaloosa are very happy with what just happened though.

FWIW my ISP location says Natchez, but I am over a hundred miles from there. It's not always dispositive, especially in rural areas.

I for one would like to see more factual information and less insulting of posters, complaning about everything and sarcasm aimed at Rant members. There is way to much immaturity on the Rant. Chicken this site could be so much more.

My profile says exactly where I'm from and where I live now, but it can all be bullshite. It's the Internet. If people learned to ignore trolls, then it would be a lot harder to be a troll.

I like Coach O, but he is NOT the coach LSU fired Miles to get. I have always been a fan of Miles, but the stubbornness on offense made even a ardent supporter like me agree it was time to make a change.

So Fisher and Herman didn't work out. There are others out there that are a much better gamble than Coach O.

I really hope he's successful. I really do. He's a very likable guy. He is a good coach and recruiter. If he is successful, this will be an awesome ride. He'll need to match wits with Nick Saban year in and year out. He'll have to be an improvement over Miles' record. I'm not sure he has it in him, but it will be fun if he does!

You do realize there are LSU fans in other states besides Louisiana, right? We have fans in Alabama (tigerfan in bamaland, etc) and there are Bama fans in Louisiana (ULL fans), so knowing the location of someone's post would prove nothing.

Oh and I'm posting from a little place called none of your fricking business.

New Orleans checking in, and I think it's an awful hire, but when you can get a top 90 head coaching talent at 3.5 mil a year you gotta lock it in.

Opposite for me. The only people with whom I've spoken to about this hire who seem to be for it are generally low information fans. What I mean is, guys that couldn't name 20 current players...who during a game will holler at a player and call a guy's name from 7 years ago because he's wearing the same number. Those guys tend to call me because they know I follow things closer than them, and to a man, each have felt the need to try and spin this as a positive , and each one seems to have gotten their talking points directly from BR media, which as we now know is essentially being steered by the HC after hiring Ponamsky. Something so smelly we'd ALL have been rightfully upset with had Miles done anything like that.

Like it or hate it...and I generally hate it...this place DOES represent a group of well informed fans. It doesn't make them right about anything, but they are usually not low information fans. And on THIS BOARD, where passion meets information, there is a MUCH higher percentage of people who think this was an abomination of a hire that we are now forced to accept and sit around and HOPE doesn't fricking tank the program we've all cherished for the past 17 seasons since its resurgence.

In short, is your Facebook feed seems to be in favor of something, it almost certainly sucks.
