Cheering for Army as they enter the stadium would honor more than the current Army team

It will be a great moment when one of America's service academies graces Tiger Stadium for the first time. Though some disagree and want the Tiger fans to continue the tradition of booing the opponent as they enter the stadium I truly hope the Tiger faithful give the visitors a tremendous Tiger Stadium salute. In doing so those fans will be doing far more than honoring the current Army team. It will be a great opportunity for LSU and the state of Louisiana to pay homage to all of the service academies and all of the brave soldiers who have fought for our country through multiple wars. Lets give a long and loud ovation as we remember our great great grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers and sisters and friends who have served our country to preserve the freedoms we have today and throughout our history. Many of those soldiers did not return from those wars or returned with physical and emotional wounds. Let our voices ring loudly with love and respect for each and every one of them.

Of course we want to also let the visitors know we think of them as any other opponent once they cross the sideline and enter the field of play and at them time we can shower them with our traditional Tiger Bait greeting.

Except for a few dickhead students having to be different I doubt seriously anyone will boo Army. If someone does outside of the student section their will some ole baw around then that will confront them.

Not really. Many of us see the unique opportunity to show appreciation to those who have served our country. Those who cannot see this have such a limited view of whats important. But go ahead and be you. You certainly have the freedom to do so, right?

Imagine being such a pussy that you get mad at someone booing another football team. Boomers and gen x are soft AF.

Bingo. These Army players want the full Tiger Stadium experience and deserve it. Yet softies want to shower them with rose petals and offer them skin conditioning products.

Yea let’s brag about our American “freedoms”. We are free to have all our money given to the big guy and Ukraine and you’re also free to have your vote stolen and if you insurrection, we’ll put up a fence and shoot you cause orange man bad. Got it.

This entire boo or not boo discussion is totally idiotic.

I pray for the mentality of those that think that booing an opponent has any effect on the game at all. Do you mental midgets think that a well trained athletic team is frightened or intimidated by a bunch of drunken fatties booing? Do you? Really?

Then there are all the reasons given for booing, none of which even hints at being posted by a functioning adult. "Boo Hoo I hate Army because Paul Dietzel left us to go there."

Of course I'm sure that most of the "pro booing" posters had no intention of actually being at this game.

The Rant has never been a bastion of intelligence, but this topic really highlights the marginal intelligence of so many LSU fans.

They don't want to be treated like special education kids.

They want the full and they deserve the full tiger stadium treatment.

How did dying or getting their legs blown off in Iraq or Afghanistan preserve our freedoms?

Military people are some of the best people our society has to offer. I'd rather they not die in the next pointless war.

The level of pandering for a “rent a win” is epic…

There is a point where respect turns into pandering and this point is long past….

It’s like someone my age telling me “thank you for your service”. and I’m thinking “where the f@@@ were you in 1971?”
