it took me almost a year to dig myself out of the doghouse from last June and dammit if the tigers aren't getting me in trouble all over again and the month has barely begun.

Not only did I not tell her there was a second game, I just broke the news that at 5pm I’m booked.

Every time the wife walked past the TV yesterday, "LSU is still playing?"

I told her, and then told her two more times after when she kept asking me.

That’s a shame…

Wife was glued to the TV right next to me.

nah. Baseball has grown on my wife b/c I watch every game. She now watches it with me and knows the roster better than most of this board. She was about to pop a Xanax in the 8th and 9th last night.

Mine don’t care, she usually knows if I’m in the living room I’m watching some kind of game anyway.

my wife had no connection whatsoever to LSU before me. She's given me a lot of grace despite not really caring or really being into watching sports in general. I return the favor by generally watching most of the LSU games on my tablet so she and our girls can watch whatever on our big TV until they go to bed. I've tried my best to get my wife to like baseball as much as I do, but it just isn't going to take.

And if she's anything like mine, she will still be shocked that they will be on our TV when I get home from work

She will also sit there and watch with me, then yell AB updates if I have to step out of the room

You were in the doghouse for watching LSU play and win the Championship last year?
You’re already in trouble after this weekend?

I can understand that not all women are baseball fans or even just LSU fans but… does she not have friends and hobbies of her own? My husband and I are both huge LSU fans so of course we both watch whatever LSU is playing but when he watches a team/sport I don’t care about I just play tennis, hang out with friends or read a book.

It’s worked for over 20 years for us and I can’t imagine having to get approval from my husband to watch lsu.

Mrs. Rabbit was right beside me, rooting the Tigers on to victory. She'll be right beside me again at 5.

We're a baseball and cheer household, so it's a given. She had steaks and potatoes ready for the 5pm game.

That’s a shame. Baseball is my wife’s favorite sport.

She likes how slow the game is because it’s easy for her to wrap her head around the rules & strategy (and we can casually chat about what’s happening), and she likes the emergent in-game / tournament story lines with individual players.

Didn’t have to tell her. She heard it the same time I did during the broadcast yesterday. Your wife doesn’t watch ALL LSU sports with you? Gonna have to give mine an extra slap on the arse tonight. I forget how good of one I have sometimes.

I'm offshore so that didn't happen for me. But it may have otherwise.

Mine knew there was but maybe during the 2nd inning I said something & was asked if the game had started
UCSB wearing yellow jerseys on the tv before the Tigers played caused some confusion
