When he almost cost us Brennan because of that bafoon offer to Tua -which of course was a brainless reaction to his Joey Freshwater dreams -I started drifting away from O. I was right....

TigerRee will shout from the rooftops the greatness of Coach o as well. They'll all storm into threads like this one as soon as TigerRee is talked down off the ledge.

But eventually they will show up, to make sure we all know how every decision o's made is a well thought out successful decision and that everything that has gone south this season is NOT o's fault. And that o is being treated unfairly.

Plus, his interim records at USC and here were just tossed out the window which I didn't think was fair.

if i get time tonight, i’m going to dig up the numbers.

what he did in 2016 was nearly identical to what Miles did in 2015. and actually, Miles’ 2015 was slightly better stats wise.

and people wanted Miles tarred and feathered for it.
they gave O a fat raise and ridiculous buyout.

I was furious with the hire. Cussed for days.

Used to laugh at people when the said he could be the guy at LSU. Used to laugh at Ole Miss fans joking about how horrible he was. Then I'll be goddamn if dumbass Alleva don't go hire that tool bag.

I never wanted him as our DL coach. Felt he was a cancer then.

See, I was super excited when he was announced as DL coach.

There's not a staff in CFB that doesn't get better from someone like him that can recruit as well as he does. He's great, in his lane.

I was ok with him as DL coach. He's a clown, but you can hide a clown at DL coach.

If O decided to leave the program and go fight for ISIS, I think I'd respect him more.

I've turned on him and feel much relief. I feel like a teenager again from the 90's excited about the games hoping and praying we pull out with the win. I no longer expect to win like I did under Saban and Miles. Those guys ruined the program. The energy inside of me is waiting to just pour out and cheer for this team every Saturday.

When we beat FL in 97 is was such an amazing feeling. I hope to feel that magic again this weekend!

Was willing to support him/give him a chance. After Troy and the subsequent info that has come out about "the search" and the contract, I'm done. Hope we beat fla, but if we don't, may we have a glorious melt that sets "the seat" on fire.

REAUX THE BEAUXT !

Even bashed the obsessive and often times juvenile bashing he got

O had a terrible head coach record. So bad that NO program in all of college football had been willing to take him on as a HC in over a decade. In fact, he couldn't even land a DC job. That's not bashing, but it was the reality of this hire.

I have nothing against the man, but I had a lot against him becoming the LSU HC.

I don't see it as juvenile. I see it as a reasonable take and one Alleva should have had.

it’s his dream job

No, it's not. He said that to get the job, but his past actions indicate that he doesn't have any particular special love for LSU.

He was a D-lineman for all of one week here back in the late 70s before quitting and ending up at NW State.

A few years ago, Les was courting him for the D-line coaching position. Everybody, including O's former NW State teammate and longtime drinking buddy Bobby Hebert, thought it was a done deal. At the last minute O instead took the same position at Tennessee with Kiffen. At the time, it had all the earmarks of a classic troll job on LSU, and probably should've precluded him from any future employment consideration here. I was shocked that nobody remembered all this two years ago when he finally did come to work here.

The only reason he even IS here is because when nobody wanted to touch him, Les Miles gave him a chance. We now see how that worked out.

The guy is a fraud. Plain and simple.

Went absolutely ballistic when hearing news of a press conference being called on that fateful day because I knew what that meant. Calmed down a little and like you said , well let's give him a chance. Done, over, Finis, never seen a shitshow like this at LSU in my lifetime and that includes a couple of losing seasons under Mac, Archer Hallman and Dinardo. This is the worst.
