This is the SEC and this is LSU Florida. People know more about who the back up QBs are than CK unfortunately.

I mean they need to reword this. The number isnt getting retired. His name and number is getting recognized in the stadium.

I wish I had got to see him in person. my old man used to talk very highly of him (before youtbe) so he was kind of a mythical figure to me

That’s great.. glad to say I know that guy, and he’s a genuine good dude.

Stop retiring numbers! We gonna have QBs wearing numbers like 25 before we know it. Just build the statue and be done with it.

#5 should not be retired but should get a statue
I agree with this. For a number to be retired, player should win both Heisman and championship.

Since Jayden could control how terrible the defense was during his Heisman campaign

Im not saying he shouldn’t be honored with a statue and his name in the stadium, but both Burrow and Cannon won championships at LSU.

They should do Burrow and Daniels at their next open date. Why wait?

Because LSU has antiquated rules about this.

Yeah, 10 years feels unrealistic. Teams rarely commit that long anymore.

You win a Heisman, your Jersey should be retired. Full Stop

He's very deserving.
A tremendous running back on both the college and pro levels.

I was to young to see him or hear about him on the radio but my grandpa & uncles talked about him like he was Barry Sanders

This is dumb. Statue is a bigger honor. Daniels jersey will 100% be retired
poster said number not jersey, obviously Jayden will be in the ring of honor of “retired” jerseys at some point
as a Heisman winner he should get a statue at some stage as well
retiring the number so that nobody ever wears it again is only reserved for Billy Cannon and one day Joe Burrow as both heisman winners and national champions

The numbers worn by Maravich, Pettit, O’Neal, Cannon and Bertman may never again be worn by future student-athletes in their respective sports.
i'd be willing to bet Burrow and Daniels will be in that group too, and deservedly so...

It appears so, but that is up to the coach since it’s after 2007.

Fortunately I got to see Charlie4Heisman my 1st year at LSU.
He was a freak RB before his time, 6’1”, 215 lbs., sub 4.4 speed that could run by, through & over defenders.
Congrats Charlie, one of my all-time favorite Texas Tigers!
