re: I am starting to think many comments on auto enthusiast websites are bots
Posted by Combaro01 on 2/18/26 at 11:24 am to weagle1999
A lot of it is probably just selection bias more than some organized campaign. People who are excited about EVs tend to click those articles and comment, while people who don’t care just scroll past, so the tone stacks in one direction. Same thing happens with any niche tech topic. Also some sites moderate harder than others, so you might be seeing a filtered version of the discussion rather than raw opinion. Doesn’t mean there aren’t bots anywhere on the internet, but usually it’s just who shows up to talk.
re: MIT researchers cleared 50% of Alzheimer’s plaques using 40 Hz sound waves

This is interesting research but people are overselling it way too fast. Most of those big plaque reductions were shown in mice under very controlled lab conditions using light and sound patterns, not just “listening to a tone” at home. Human studies so far are tiny and mainly looking at safety and whether there are small signals of benefit, not a cure or even a proven therapy yet. It’s a cool direction because it’s non invasive, but it’s still early stage science that needs large clinical trials before anyone knows if it actually helps patients in a meaningful way.
re: Is a secksless marriage reason enough for divorce?

In some relationships, lack of sex can have medical or hormonal causes, it doesn't automatically mean that your partner is cheating or that you need to break up.
My situation was different and it ended in divorce for many reasons, not just because of intimacy. At that time, I worked with the Virginia Family Law Center Center in Virginia to resolve the legal side and child custody, because things had become complicated and I needed someone to put everything in legal order. If there is still a chance, it is worth checking the medical side and having honest discussions between you before making big decisions. However, if there are real issues related to responsibilities or the safety of the children, then legal help becomes important.

Yeah I’ve been following it. It’s hard to watch but also hard to look away because there’s so many layers to how something like that even happens. The testimony from school staff has been especially heavy, you can tell how much it’s affected everyone involved. Cases like this really make you think about prevention and warning signs more than anything else.
Honestly the only “strategy” seems to be don’t chase it early. Let the chaos burn itself out, stay on the edges, watch where it’s drifting, then move in when people are already exhausted and the crowd thins a bit. Anyone trying to hero sprint into the middle at 3pm is just donating their energy to the pile. Feels more like a survival game than a sport.

Yeah that’s exactly what people are complaining about lately. It’s not just that LEDs are brighter, it’s that a lot of them are poorly aimed or thrown into housings designed for old halogen bulbs. So instead of a controlled beam you get that blast straight at eye level, especially from lifted or squatted trucks where the angle is totally off. Properly installed LEDs with projector housings and correct alignment aren’t nearly as blinding, but tons of aftermarket setups skip that step. It ends up being less about the tech and more about bad installs and ride height changes that never get re aimed.
It feels like she’s earned a bigger role by now. I'm surprised the minutes haven't increased yet
It’s definitely a mental block. On paper, we match up better, but we just can't seem to execute when it counts against them.

"That footage is rough to watch. If things escalate and you're caught in the crossfire or facing property damage, you're going to want to know your legal standing regarding police or state liability.
Once it gets messy during civil unrest, the legal lines for recovery become very blurred. It is worth checking here [link=]https://www.jdsupra.com/legalnews/when-can-you-file-a-lawsuit-for-an-act-8807744/[/link] to see when you can file a lawsuit for an act of violence and if you'd even have a case against the city or the agency involved."

re: What’s up with all the Mikaylah Williams hate on so many topics?

It's wild that she gets criticized while taking on the toughest defensive assignments against guards who are 2–4 inches taller than her. She’s doing the dirty work that doesn't always show up in the box score.

Spot on. You can be frustrated with a loss without making it personal. The mods should definitely step up.
I need an ID just to fly, buy alcohol, open a bank account… voting is far from the only place it matters.

Investigating Epstein-related topics involves multiple layers, financials, associates, timelines, so any comprehensive board will need careful documentation and cross-referencing.
re: Male Drivers Sue Uber and Lyft For Sex Discrimination Over Women-Only Ride-Hailing Feature
Posted by Combaro01 on 2/12/26 at 6:56 am to Diseasefreeforall
I’ve experienced sexual abuse, so the women-only driver option isn’t just a preference, it’s a real safety measure for me. JD Supra had a detailed breakdown of the lawsuits, including the claims under the Unruh Act and the $4,000 damages per male driver.
From my perspective, platforms could balance this by documenting ride assignments and providing transparency, so the legal risks are mitigated while women still feel secure.

This is a good summary of the "Big Fat Surprise" argument. The history of how the AHA got its funding is definitely worth looking into, as it shows how corporate sponsorship can shift public health narratives for decades. Even if you don't think seed oils are "toxic," it’s hard to deny that the transition from butter to hydrogenated fats was a massive, unplanned experiment on the public.
The split-location setup for the 2026 Winter Olympics is definitely a logistical headache for viewers. The main hub is the San Siro Stadium in Milan, but they are running simultaneous ceremonies in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Predazzo, and Livigno. The "Stargate" structure you mentioned is actually the new dual-cauldron design inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s geometric knots. It expands and contracts using 244 pivot points, which is why it has that sci-fi look. It is the first time in history they are lighting two separate cauldrons at the same time in two different cities.
Smoot has always been a quote machine, but calling Brian Kelly a "snail" is a new level of savage even for him. It really highlights the shift in energy around the program since Lane Kiffin took over. Kiffin definitely has that modern "closer" personality that high-profile recruits and their families respond to, whereas Kelly always felt like he was trying to sell a corporate lifestyle rather than a football culture.
It is always a shock to the community when someone in a position of high trust and public recognition is arrested for something this severe. These situations often leave families wondering how many signs were missed by the administration.
In my own experience dealing with a sexual abuse case involving an Uber driver, I realized that awards and professional standing are often used as a shield by predators to avoid suspicion. So I eventually worked with Oberheiden P.C.because they specialize in cases where institutions, like schools or major corporations, fail to protect the people in their care."

Feels premature. Until there’s an official announcement, it’s just noise. I’ve seen this rumor pop up before and go nowhere.
Nah. People vote on very narrow issues. I’ve lived here a while and most folks aren’t dumb, just focused on one thing.
