They did a preemptive strike that says they will move Alabama to #4 after the December 7 games. That way they avoid the semi-final LSU / AL rematch.

Alabama will not be #4 if both Utah and OU are 12-1.

Yup. This is the secret reason. They are doing now because it will look worse the last week of the season after we beat Georgia

If anything I think they would prefer the all SEC semifinal to avoid the all SEC final.

They are in the process of telling you dumbasses that they feel like Ohio State is a more balanced team, meaning they play Defense better than us.

Yes, that’s the first thing I thought of. They are paying to move Alabama in, and they don’t want a rematch to start the playoffs.

Bama will be jumped by OU or Utah winning out.

They're just doing this because they see how much it triggers you guys.

That exact thought crossed my mind. Money speaking, lsu vs Ohio state would be a fricking electric, amazing title game and everyone would want to see it. Good cash in that. Realistically rematches tend to go to the loser and they won't want that.

But like the below guys said, a one loss Oklahoma beats Bama in. Utah, though, I just don't think so.

Everyone assumes it’s automatic that Bama beats Auburn. I mean everyone. Personally I believe Auburn beats Bama and all of this is moot.

If LSU beat Georgia who is number 4 we will be back at number 1.

Regardless I believe we stack up good against anyone. Even against Bama again.

Back on the 2010/2011 season when we beat Bama I felt we were lucky. They had shitty kickers. And I think we knew if we played them again we would lose. If you look at our team’s demeanor for NC game it’s like they felt like they could not win.

This year I feel like Bama was lucky the score was not worse. We beat them soundly. And our team left knowing so. There is no feeling that we lucked out.

So our team I believe are not scared to play them again. I bet coach O would love to beat them twice in one year. We own their arse this year. And plus Mac is no Tua.

But will not happen. Auburn beats Bama.

Correct, but follow me OU loses to Ok state and OU bests Baylor in title game , OR beats Utah , chalk holds with Ohio State, LSU and Clemson then Bama is 4 and playing Ohio State in Glendale and LSU is playing Clemson in Atlanta

Well let's address the match up. Mac Jones is not awful at all, auburn qb is, and is shown to fold under pressure. Alabama is playing for more and has that motivation factor even though auburn surely wants to beat Bama bad. Coaching goes to Bama as well.

Alabama still has a full NFL roster of receivers who need nothing more than a dink and dunk pass to make something huge happen and they can create massive mismatches. Yes mac will be pressured harder than ever by that elite defense but they'll still score over 28, while auburn could very well not get shite done offensively. Knowing these attributes of both teams, it's clear Bama is a favorite.

Edit: reading further into your post, yes. I told everyone we would get wrecked in the national championship because Bama would fix their qb problem while we tried to do the same exact game play and I was dead on.

Nah, this is about setting up a marquee final.

LSU vs Ohio State, the Joe Burrow story (especially if he wins the Heisman)
or
LSU vs Alabama, the rematch
or
Clemson vs Alabama, the continuing saga

Only "bad" matchup is Clemson vs Ohio State.

There is no way the CFP is not wanting to pit Burrow against Ohio State. Become a joke.

Unlikely. OSU still has 2 high profile games remaining against ranked teams. LSU only 1. If the committee has them 1 now, that won’t change unless they lose. Feinbaum called it.

When Texas loses we lose ground. As long as our SOR’s are close enough, the committee resorts to eyeball test btw like teams.
