I think the best thing for our program is to beat them twice this season anyway. And without tua, they aren’t even a threat.

I totally agree with you plus,now they can possibly have a LSU vs Alabama final or a LSU vs Ohio State final. Which will be a win/win situation either way.

Regardless, there was more going on than, "We don't think we can beat Bama again." GTFO with that nonsense. This was a team that beat Bama in Tuscaloosa (however close). This team had consecutive TD drives to start the second half against Tennessee that consumed more than 1 full quarter of football - 28 plays for 165 yards and 15:51 of clock time. This team ROLLED over a good Georgia team in Atlanta 42-10.
So, I'm calling bullshite on their demeanor showing "we can't beat Bama" on 1/9/2012. SOMETHING NON-FOOTBALL HAPPENED. GET OVER IT.
Now, that loss did do something to the program, collectively. No doubt. All the close calls since then - some doctored by the league, others maybe not. And of course, the drubbing last year.
But to say that the 2011 LSU football team - which is certainly one of the best college football teams of the past 50 years thought they couldn't beat Bama again is, frankly, (and respectfully), horseshite.

Negative the only way LSU gets #1 again if OSU stays unbeaten is if Bama makes it. They do not want an all sec final again.
