Game of the Week II: No. 6 LSU at No. 10 Auburn

J. Darin Darst, Producer: These are the final scores of this series the last four years -- Auburn 10-9, LSU 20-17, Auburn 7-3, LSU 30-24. See a trend here? Get ready Andrew Hatch, you've never seen a defense like this one. I'm going with the home team in this one. Prediction: Auburn 13, LSU 10

Dennis Dodd, Senior Writer: Does anyone realize how hard it is to score in the SEC? Auburn needed a three-run triple to nip Mississippi State 3-2. Georgia hung on against South Carolina. Now the Tigers have to try to score against LSU's defense. Yikes. Brad Lester is banged up. The offense is hung up. Prediction: LSU 24, Auburn 10

Harmon Forecast, powered by Accuscore: Auburn showed last week that the new offense still isn't ready for prime time. QB Chris Todd will have a tough time once again going against an LSU defense that won't have to worry about the pass. LSU is not Mississippi State and should easily generate enough offense to get a key road victory. Prediction: LSU 26, Auburn 19

Jason Horowitz, On-Air Talent: The home team has won each of the last eight matchups, and LSU hasn't won at Jordan-Hare since 1998. Yes, LSU has a good ground attack, but they did two years ago when they lost 7-3. Neither team is set at the QB spot, so this game comes down to defense. Auburn is healthy, LSU is missing Darry Beckwith and that could be huge. Prediction: Auburn 16, LSU 13

Johnny Rosenstein, Editor: This is the SEC West's Super Bowl. Six of the past eight winners of this rivalry have gone on to win the division, earning a berth in the SEC title game. LSU will have to go without injured middle linebacker Darry Beckwith. Auburn won the past two matchups at Jordan-Hare Stadium in low scoring affairs, and I expect the same here. Prediction: Auburn 12, LSU 10

No one is going to pick against the home team until one of us beats the other at home.

frick auburn.

I, for one, am not in the least bit worried about them. regardless of the QB situation. Auburn's offense is putrid.

yeah it was an overweight and slow, shadow of what once was Justin Vincent with no holes to run through. There was virtually no running attack in that game. In other words, just like we'll see Saturday

I for one think that we will beat auburn by 14, this is the first week of the season that lsu has had nothing to contend with but football. That to me will allow lsu to show just how powerful they are. We will see a different team then what we have been seing.

Couldn't the exact same shite be said about whoever AU starts at QB?

This will be the first true test for both teams.

Both teams have questions at QB.

Both teams have typical tough defenses.

The game will likely be ugly, and could come down to who makes the least mistakes. I wouldn't want to bet either way on who the winner will be.

None of them mentioned Auburn's "home cookin" which has been the difference in the last two games there.

Dodd is a tool. I lived in the KC area for years and he works from there and never had had much respect from fans anywehere.

Not so. Vegas has Lsu as 3 point road favorite. I wouldn't call that no one.
Also, two of the three CBS sportsline experts pick the real Tigers.
