Do we have any corners other than T Simon and Jalen Collins who aren't true freshman? I see Kavera Holmes, Derrick Raymond, Dwayne Thomas, and Jalen Mills. Other than Jalen Mills are any of those guys any where near physically ready to play in the SEC? Could any of the safetys, such as Martin or Eugene play corner in a pinch?

Eugene is supposedly a candidate for NIckel and Dime back packages. He was a ball hawk in high school and seems to be developing quite well in Chavis system

Honestly if Loston every gets healthy, id like to see him take on a role as a biltzing nickel/dime back.

Nope. We lost TM. LSU is no longer STAAAACKED, we are now FUUUUUCKED.
We'll be fine, bud.

Our secondary is young. Our LB's are young. We have a really bright future.

Our secondary is young, but Jalen Collins and Jalen Mills are beasts. Plus, they're under great leadership from Eric Reid and Tharold Simon. I have no doubt that our secondary will be one of the best in the nation this year.

Maybe, but it seems we have no depth behind them unless Michah Eugene or Ronald Martin could play corner. Fobbs and Turner are buried on the WR depth chart, a position which we have plenty of depth.

I think they have him at safety

I wonder if the staff have thought about playing OBJ3 both ways after the dismissal of TM7. I can see him getting reps at Corner.

By all accounts Micah Eugene is crosstraining at S and Nickel and has the upper hand to land TM7s old roaming Nickel position wrecking havoc.
CB: Tharold Simon
CB: Jalen Collins
Nickel: Micah Eugene
Dime: Jalen Mills
Dwayne Thomas will play this year as well.

Interesting thought. Did OBJ3 play any corner in high school?
I'm sure Washington will line up with four receivers and test our third & fourth coverage guys. We may have ask OBJ3 to play both ways.

Damn we got a lot of athletes.

Even if we could move any safeties to CB for any number of snaps, keep in mind that the safety position isn't necessarily much deeper. Loston is apparently hurt again, and besides Reid, we have Martin (a true sophomore) and Eugene, a redshirt freshman. Then, behind them, two true freshmen in Thompson and Sandolph.
One positive is that we have some time to get the young guys some serious reps, and we have what should be about four winnable games to start the season to let the young pups cut their teeth before SEC play. By late in the season, these freshmen won't be freshmen anymore.

Exactly. Not to mention we have Raymond. He will do wonders with their fundamentals and footwork. Talent should take care of the rest.

Keith Price is a great QB but the talent gap is too much I think. After that AU and UF don't have a big QB threat, SCar's Conner is as much a runner as passer it seems, the first big DB test might be AJ...9 games in.
