The universities wanted parity and we're closer than ever before with Vandy beating LSU and Bama. We also have a first time natty winner in Indy, so the sport is thriving.
The fans don't like the athletes being paid, but things are looking good.other than that

It isnt a situation where the freshmen are beating out walk ons and guys who have never played or played poorly in the past.

They are beating out previous year SEC starters in Blocton and McKinley. Green was a starter at Clemson in the ACC too.

Not sure why anyone would be worried about that. They arent just rising to the top by default, they are beating out 3 dudes who have a combined nearly 2000 snaps playing for SEC/ACC teams and all 3 of them have graded out at least above average to pretty good.

This is definitely a situation to be excited about, not worried about there. I'm pretty sure all 3 of Blocton/Green/McKinley havent suddenly forgot how to play this offseason. There's freshmen basically every year who standout to some degree

Great perspective. I know about McKinley, but not about the other two. Thanks for sharing.

Fingers crossed that the freshman DTs can handle big time college football. They need to grow up quickly.
Leavitt was not CLKs' first choice, but hopeful hes does a great job and stays healthy.
Didn't call half of the fouls committed against him. Hack-a-shaq was a real strategy.
If BK kept the same defensive staff when he took over, he would've won a national championship. Baker, Raymond, Deronte Jones(now an NFL DC), along with the number one offense in the country = championship. No one is beating that team.

He wasn't too old. He refused to follow the blueprint of what works at LSU.
If he brought over his OC, recruited a QB and made no other changes, he would would've won a NC.
The defensive staff was good enough to win it all. Daronte is now a DC for an NFL team. Daronte, Baker, Raymond and Cain, in combination with the number 1 offense in the country is a championship winning formula. After he blew it, his OC went back to Notre Dame.

By the time he figured it out, he ran out of time. Being lazy didn't help.
As long as Raymond is coaching corners, we will be ok.
Replace the east and west upper decks with the current configuration of the south end zone. Reduces capacity, helps with concourses and bathrooms at the upper level.
Then put new bathrooms and concessions in the old dorms of the lower level. Build a way to walk around the lower level to access these.
My guess is the plan will be to tear down the east and west upper, and build club seats like the south endzone. This will reduce overall stadium capacity, but will help the restroom and concession issues and transition to higher profit margin seats.
Brian Kelley will make LSU pay every penny of that 53 million, or whatever it is buyout. He will go through the motions to comply with his, "duty to mitigate," clause.

Going from the SEC champion game to last years record, combined with the buyout makes him the worse coach in LSU history.
Kelly recruited all Tackles and made some of them guards.Thats why his guards can't generate a push in the run game, but they can pass block.

Les recruited all guards and made some of them tackles, but this worked because of his run heavy scheme.

Big Will is looking great. Has a natural build; although I wouldn't fault him if he got a little extra help at some point in his career.
The healthy back is productive, and right now Berry is the only one on the roster. Hopefully Durham recovers during the off-season and OL blocking improves.
Kiffin will likely keep Austin Thomas and staff if hired.

Lane Kiffin hired Austin Thomas to his staff at Ole Miss as the football chief of staff in early 2022. Thomas served in that role for two seasons (2022-2023) before returning to LSU in January 2024 to serve in a senior athletics administration role.
Good candidate if we don't get Kiffin. He has Louisiana ties, young and hungry, excellent playcaller/ coordinator.

The only coach who earns this much trust is Urban, Saban, Kiffin.

If its not one of these names, they should be required to keep Kyle and Raymond.

This is the result of hiring a safety coach and reducing Raymonds duties to only corners. The trade-off is worse communication between the positions.
2023 was his shot and he blew it. Also on offense he had Brian Thomas Jr. Will Campbell, Emery Jones, Miles Frazier and Garrett, Josh Williams

If he kept the original defensive staff intact, he wins it all. Baker, Raymond, Daronte Jones, Andre Carter.
