they were doing what they were supposed to do. WR's are supposed to catch the ball when it hits them in the hands. You don't coach drops or catching, it is up to the player to put in the time. There isn't that much time at practice to work on catching. You get out there in your free time or during the summer and put in the work with someone throwing you the ball or just hundreds of hours with a jugs machine.
