Miles is the standard bearer of underachieving. Until he is dethroned, he's the go to comparator.

No it doesn't, it's an excuse for people to hate Paul without presenting actual facts because in all reality their clueless about LSU baseball. I'm not a huge Paul fan as of late but I can give you reason for that, not just a lazy arse answer as "he's turning in to les Miles". That provides zero.

Forget the comparisons. I want to hear from the pro CPM crowd about where we stand as a baseball program considering this was supposed to be a great season and it's been pretty bad so far. Is there any wavering at all from tha crowd about CPM after this season? Do you guys see any improvement on his behalf any positive changes. I'm admittedly biased because I've never been a CPM fan and I know that clouds my judgment of him so hearing from the other side can give my kind perspective.

He needs to change out gibbs after this season. He will get a pass if he can do that. He deserves some time, he has earned it the last few years

So no panic yet? How long before the more level headed fans say it's time? For me 2013 and this year seemed to be no brainer championship type teams plus him admitting he took 2010 off because we won in 09 would constitute strike 3. Do you think he needs to re acess his offensive approach or maybe his refusal to commit to developing more starting pitching? Or is it as simple as hiring a great hitting coach? Maybe not simple but what I mean is are we one hire away?

Coaches that are great recruiters, underachieve with massive amounts of talent, have still won in the past....

You're right, doesn't sound like Miles at all.............

Anyone who compares Mainieri to Miles is someone you shouldn't pay attention to.

Miles is the gauge of success and failure at LSU.

You need to take a step back.

Develop more starting pitching? We have 3 right now, thats a good bit. Any fan that things one year was the year and is going to hold it against him, i dismiss. Thi sport isnt one where the best team usually wins. IMO you have to have the team in the lottery come super regionals. Plenty of great coaches havent won with the best teams the last 15 years.

Take a step back? You dismiss anyone who is dissapointed when we underachieved? I'm sorry for trying to have an open honest dialog obviously that can't happen here.

The issue is Alleva. Miles and Man will resemble careers because of the way alleva will make it play out too long.

We started using Les Miles when someone complained about us using Dale Brown.

It won't be long before you'll ask us to stop comparing underachieving coaches to Marinara.

You're always 5-10 years behind the rest of the board on these things.
