Can we come to an agreement? LSU Basketball Related

No matter what the Men's basketball record is, we will not start a fire Will Wade thread. If one is started, he/she will be permabanned.

He’s inheriting a program in possibly the worst shape of any program in LSU history. He already has a top 5 recruiting class for next year, and did a great job getting us serviceable talent this year on a ridiculous deadline. He has a history of prior success.
As long as we make even an incremental improvement over last years team it would be beyond absurd to question Wade

Several things. He is inheriting a clusterfrick of a dumpster fire. You know it. I know it. Wade even says himself that it will take 3 years to get the program to where it is competitive nationally. You don't fix a program that is this broken overnight, no matter who you are. Patience is necessary.
And his contract is such that both sides made an agreement for 6 years. If you fire Wade after one year, you owe him $12.5 million, so he isn't getting axed unless he gets caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy....So a thread about firing him would be pointless in that regard also.
And he has a hell of a recruiting class lined up.
It is just plain stupid not to give any new coach in any sport at least 3 years to get a program going.

Thats like asking a newborn not to shite in his diaper. Idiots can't control themselves on here. There were people melting in the scrimmage thread, when LSU was losing to Tulane.

Only a complete moron would entertain firing Will Wade in year 1 or 2 of his program.
I think WW will win at LSU and win big, but that wont start until year 3 and 4, imo.

It will be tough sledding in SEC without any preseason all conference players to work with.
Anything you get this year will be welcome, I'm more interested in watching how the offense runs and the defense they will finally play this year. EFFORT will be off the charts compared to what we saw last year.

I agree. Looks like everyone else is in agreement. Wade has that "it" factor. The only thing I worry about is him bolting for a Duke, Kansas or UNC when those coaches retire. I really believe he's that special. Year 3 I can see him leading LSU to a deep tourney run.

Basketball doesn't take 3-4 years. By the end of this year, they'll be looking like a much better team, and next year we will be a tournament contender. Or, pitchforks.

this is absolutely correct. Basketball can be turned around very quickly.
That said, clearly Wade has done very good things since he got here and he has a couple years of cushion.
