Just curious how one goes about donating

I don't believe a collective has been set up for LSU recruits yet.

1. Have a business
2. Contact an LSU athlete to promote said business and offer a contract
3. Pay athlete/produce promotion content
4. Profit (the athlete, not you)

Wasn’t it set up so athlete’s can receive payment for purchases of their jerseys?

That's essentially what Gordon McKernan is doing, but that's not an "NIL collective" and/or what other teams are doing. An NIL collective is something that is setup like TAF to raise apparently $13M(per Ryan Day) - 20M in order to pay players.

Not sure if it’s changed yet, but Coach O wanted everyone to call Derek Ponamsky about funding NIL deals.

Does anyone know if these NIL collectives such as said to be at Tx. A&M are set up as nonprofits? If so, are donations by the fans tax deductible? If this is the case, I could see some issues down the line if reviewed by the IRS.

Oh and you know it will be. NCAA screwed this up.

LSU does not have a collective yet. LA law does not allow it but I believe it is getting changed over the next legislative session. Or at least it's up for a vote which I imagine would pass resoundingly.

No way would I contribute to this farce. College athletes have always been paid. My son just graduated from LSU, and it damn sure wasn’t free. It costs over $20k a year. Athletes should get a free ride for college, and that’s it. No one is forcing you to play sports.

The vote already happened, it passed unanimously. On the Governors desk.

A lot of people have a business. I have my own business that I have not used in years. But I still report my franchise tax every year just in case I want to start working for myself again. So can I Venmo some cash to a recruit from my business and tell him to go to LSU?
This just seems crazy.

Lsu does have a collective. It’s not a business per say it’s a bank account that everyone puts money into and that money is used to pay the players to do stuff for local businesses.
I just don’t know who’s name the accounts under

How to tell people you’re not really in the know without saying you’re not really in the know

That’s why I say roi doesn’t matter lol people literally put money into an account and it’s set up where it’s not even possible to get a single cent of return on investment because it’s not your business

And no I’m not donating to the collective but I’m gonna do my part as a fan and let people with money know how they can.
This is information that we should know about.
Chicken needs to get off his arse and start something. We got texags.com doing their thing .
If I was chicken I would do it and do it better just as a competition between me and anything Aggie .
Imagine how productive we could be in our lives if everything was somehow a competition between us and them . I’d be motivated to do anything

Not for nothing but NIL isn't something that the NCAA hatched. You can thank everybody from Ed O'Bannon to the Supreme Court for NIL and all the problems it has created. This is the last thing NCAA wanted.

Now if you really want to pull some lowdown shite and make some white collar crime type money then how about this? ( btw, when it comes out in the news that this happened I hope someone can remember me)
You are a local business that has a collective account you get people to donate into said account for obvious reasons. How would anyone know how the funds were used and even if you didn’t steal the money, you could at least never touch your portion of the accounts balance and the other money that’s donated is used for free advertisement that you can write off for taxes
