That granted him an additional year

I don't know enough about it and I didn't want to scour the net for answers

Was it legitimate? What's the timeline of all of it? Just details of it, please

Thanks guys

believe he claimed some type of chronic tonsillitis that "kept" him from playing one year of D2 ball. obviously not legit as the prior school would not give any information confirming this to help him state his case for medical redshirt for that year. so basically he was 3rd or 4th string and got sick during the season and so that is the "reason" he didn't play.

He had tonsillitis. But Ferris state has come out and said that that was NOT the reason why he didn’t play, but that because he wasn’t ready nor had he earned the playing time

Sure, the SEC was fine with loopholes when it benefitted a team they deemed worthy of it and now they're not. So because Chambliss has a bandaid on a boo boo, he can play as long as he wants for Ole Piss.

Ok, that's the sort of stuff I'm looking for here

Sure. OM claims he should have been granted a medical redshirt 4 years ago while at Ferris State that would then give him 1 more year of eligibility.

There is no documentation of medical treatment, injury reports, or a medical condition from Ferris State that explained why he didn't participate in 2022. Only "yeah, he saw our trainer and a local doctor who treated him, here are his notes that say he had a really bad upper respiratory infection and tonsillitis"

He was then granted this medical redshirt/extra year (via TRO) by a sobbing sympathetic judge who happened to be an Ole Miss law alum

SEC never questions it

He’s never been granted a year. He’s playing under a court order that prevents punishment for playing an ineligible player.

Of course. The SEC wants the PR ($$$) that comes along with a likely Heisman contender. fricking hypocrites.

Exactly this. He just needed a tonsillectomy and went on to start only ONE game the following year. He wasn’t playing, regardless of his “medical issues”.

Correct.

He’s actively breaking NCAA and SEC eligibility rules, which are clearly stated, through protection from a TRO.

Well Ferris didn’t have the full story dude…he also had a bad tummy ache.

But yes there’s no gray area in his ineligibility ruling, NCAA said you don’t meet the requirements for an additional year, courts said he does, SEC complied. They didn’t sue them for some odd reason.

Again..frick sankey
