Can someone explain in a rational thought, how Orgeron is our Coach?

Explain in a rational, well written thought how Coach Orgeron, a former defensive line coach, replaced 2x SEC winning, 1x national championship winning Les Miles. When I try to picture how it happened I just start laughing uncontrollably as to how we are where we are at

Cheap during the Miles buyout window.
Sold the admin some snake oil.
Promised to do all of the right things and to win.

Then later, actually said at a press conference that his plan was, "hope and pray".

I'm 1000% against O as coach, but IMO we are passed this point now and a new post every day asking this question is getting old fast.

Thanks for this refreshing topic, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a thread about this

Who hasn’t won 6 games in the sec in years.

Coach O does it year 1. Boss move.

I think it’s best to explain it this way. 2 time SEC champ and 1 time National Champ with LSUs talent is why we have a new coach. Then Alleva likes Orgeron so that is how he is our new coach.

Well,
1) he got the interim job at USC and went 6-2
2)got the interim job at LSU and went 6-2
3) the 2 guys that LSU went after both went elsewhere (or stayed put).
4) Alleva was afraid to take a chance on an unproven up and comer.
5) O had the team playing well at the end of 2016. (Whether you like it or not, there was a noticeable difference in the way the team played in the first 4 games and how they played after O took over.)

And there you have the 5 steps to O as coach.

As 'boss' as his historic losses to Moo St & Troy?

A former SEC head coach with deep state ties got a second shot at USC as interim head coach, salvaged their season, came home at a lesser position to come home, made inroads with an administration, had a second successful interim head coach position, then was willing to take a discount when all the big names tried to start bidding wars.

I’m not an O fan. But you guys need to calm the frick down.

There's no rational thought behind it. Alleva fricked up. Plain and simple.

O is going to see your post about him and kick you out of his bed for talking about him like that.

Be careful.

Yea, he put himself in a position to be hired regardless of your opinion. Now, what have you accomplished in your professional career?

Yeah really is, it was JUST announced on September 25, 2016. You could probably say a lot of things about the OP, but you could never, ever fault him for not staying up to date on everything LSU.
