And when are they releasing the findings? I feel like the last week has been nothing but “statements” and a whole lot of nothing.

Basically, LSU is fricked.

That's all you need to know

Someone stole a bunch of money from a hospital and gave it to Javonte Smart.

Pretty simple.

OLOL is making a statement sometime this afternoon. SOmeone said it will be at 3:50, but don't know if that is true. I know TV news trucks are parked out in from of the hospital right now.

WAFB said in noon news that OLOL had a statement that would be released today.

Search OLOL on Tiger Rants and you will get all the details.

Waiting on Hillar Moore to drop his OLOL findings. Apparently money was moved over to LSU that couldn’t be accounted for and was missing from OLOL. Don’t know yet if that ended up in LSU Atheltics’ hands or just the school’s.

Speculation is that money being donated to the foundation was being funneled to student athletes. Boosters were instructed to donate to the foundation. So basically boosters were donating money to the "foundation," receiving tax breaks because of it, and then it was going to student athletes.

If any part of these claims are actually true. The LSU athletic department won’t be the only areas getting gutted.

If the worst of the rumors are true and proved LSU is fricked.

The worst of the rumors is LSU boosters used OLOL foundation as a way to pay players and recruits. They donate to the foundation and get a tax break. The president of the foundation takes the money out and distributed it, in some way, to recruits, players, etc. Its been going on for decades, but the President, Funes, got sloppy and arrested. Now he may be snitching, plus Deloitte got called in to do an audit that’s might be revealing.

Currently all speculation other than Funes embezzling and getting arrested. We’ll see when the report is made public today if there are LSU links. Even if there are, the big jump, and the one that even the guys pushing the theory on here aren’t sure about, us how exactly the money was distributed to LSU recruits and players. That might not be easily traceable or proven, even if it happened

Can you tell me if Alleva is involved?

I really hope he is, and if so it would explain a lot about his peculiar behavior in mishandling the Wade situation.

Honestly, i don't think the J Smart deal and the OLOL deal have any connection.

I think J Smart received benefits from Nike or Adidas. He ran in the AAU circuit for a long time. I'm sure his funding came from one of those avenues.

Everyone suspected LSU was corrupt because of Louisiana politics. Now everyone will know that LSU is corrupt because of Louisiana politics.

Aren’t donations to a university tax deductible anyway? Why the need to run it through OLOL foundation?

I think the concern is that the money went straight to athletes and their families.

As a 23 year Louisiana resident, graduate of LSU and another in state university, to see all of this happening, it really hurts. I took pride in being an LSU tiger and a Louisianian. Now I feel dirty.

Alleva and Alexander aren't from Louisiana. Now the board and governor... That's another story.

Exactly. Why not just donate to the LSU Foundation directly? The LSU Foundation makes a big deal of stating their funds are "private" funds. Can someone explain why they would need to have gone trough OLOL.
